I know dehydration,And BOTH PG/VG do so. You may not be affected by either and that's fine.
I remember the first night I started vaping. It was Christmas morning and my brother woke me.
The first thing I said was "someone stabbed my tounge and I can't swallow."
I've seen bloody noses amongst friends and know that if I don't drink enough water I'll wake up parched where drinking a glass of water won't satiate . IT'S ABSOLUTELY DEHYDRATING.
I'm actually curious where you think this "myth" perpetuates from? "
You're right, they're both hygroscopic; many people think VG is less so because their throat and mouth won't be so parched, but that's the emollient topical effect of VG; it's just as hygroscopic as PG.
Raz, have you tried coconut water? It worked for me when I was so dehydrated that my electrolytes got totally trashed, sore puffy feet and ankles, it was awful, but coconut water both a) hydrates marvelously, and b) keeps the electrolytes in good working order.
Just chugging gallons of water won't help, because that just makes you pee more, so you pee out electrolytes, and the cycle just keeps getting worse. Adding coconut water, and also drastically reducing any caffeine intake, will keep you more hydrated without making your kidneys go nuts flushing all those electrolytes out Sports drinks are also not very useful, because they have as much sodium as potassium. When I first started it, I drank about 12oz of coconut water daily, till the problem cleared up, and now I drink 6-8oz daily, though if I start getting any foot/leg cramps, I drink some more -- the cramps are kind of my "distant early warning" of my hydration/electrolytes starting to go south again. I use the Zico brand, not from concentrate; they have it at Walmart, on the "mixers" aisle (tonic, soda water, etc).
One other thing that might help a little is try using a slightly higher nic level, so you vape less, which reduces your exposure to the PG/VG.
