Somewhere, there is a body knowledge that discusses the elements of creating new flavors. Perfumers have been growing and consulting this body of knowledge for most of human history. I know this not because I have seen such a body of knowledge, but because this art has been around so long.

My question, then, is where is this body of knowledge located on the Internet? In short, I am looking for articles discussing the compositional elements of flavor design.

Articles would include the following topics:

• How to connect various flavors.
• High and low notes.
• Body of the flavor
• umami?
• complete and incomplete flavors
• ...

Hopefully, you get the idea.

To me it reads like you are entering the world of flavorists (flavor chemists). I am not sure how much I would be able to understand the info for those individuals, as they are indeed chemists, but you might be able to start out by reading books (or search for articles) specifically designed for them. Who knows, you may be able to glean something of value.

Just a wild stab at it, but check this out: Allured's Flavor and Fragrance Materials Buyer's Guide 2015 , or, Flavor Chemistry and Technology, Second Edition.

p.s. Lovely weather we're having, huh? ;)

Mr. Mann:

Actually, I work full time in this weather. It is not that bad if you have the right clothing.

I'll check out the link.

I know the information I am seeking is more simplified than what your post suggests. I had more luck searching for this topic in the subject of perfume. Apparently, there is precious little on this in an ejuice search. The problem with this is that perfumers list flavors a vaper would never use.
