Cool_Spot - If you don't ever use atomizers, you can have too many. I have five atomizers that I'll never use cuz I switched to cartomizers and can't stand atomizers.

Anyway, keepmeonpins, I think after you get your eGo, you won't want to mess around with a regular 510 battery. I don't think you'd use it more than once (and then you'd only use it once to see what the LED looks like). Personally, I'd spend the extra money on some cartomizers (that you can refill quickly, and they'll hold more liquid and will save you time by not having to drip constantly). It's a personal choice, depending on what you prefer.

Whether the money is spent on atties or cartomizers you don't want to waste money on something that just looks pretty like the 510 unless you are looking for something to take with you in public that looks like a "real" cigarette. Personally I feel the eGo is much more understated than my beautiful green 510. The best deal in my opinion is the riva , also from Liberty Flights, if you want to put more money into vaping, I'd suggest the Riva. There are plenty of other things to spend money on, as most us know much too well. DIY, juice, passthroughs, cases,,,,,it's endless.

Thanks again everyone who responded to me in my time of need! I feel comfy with my decision and I think I'll wait on the 510 batteries since I'd need a different charger and my money is too tight to mess around with anything extra right now... by the time this fluid runs out I should have another paycheck so maybe, in the near future, after I'm off analogs and vaping for a few weeks I'll snag another e-cig to try but for right now I'll stick with the eGo... once it gets here that is!

I feel like it's Christmas, I can't remember the last time I was this excited! I want it here NOW and it's not even shipped yet :(

I've got my last pack of smokes at work, I plan on never buying them ever again... I just hope my eGo gets here before it runs out!

So I just realized that my eGo starter kit comes with 5 x tobacco carts... Does this mean they are pre-filled and I cannot use them with the fluids I ordered? Is there a way to clean them out if that's the case? For whatever reason, I could have sworn it said empty carts... Am I doomed with pre-filled? Or is that what was being said before about blowing the pre-filled fluid out when you get a new kit with carts?

And can someone give me a step by step guide on how this should go once I receive my package?

Example:

Unpack everything, charge batteries for x hours, fill carts, vape on? Or something to that effect. I'd access the videos and search function but I'm at work and my phone is uber slow on the intraweb and I MIGHT get it today.

If they're cartridges and not cartomizers, you can take out the filter from the inner cart, rinse it out with tap water, dry it with a paper towel, put it back into the inner cart, and then drip juice into it. The word "tobacco" tells me the carts are probably pre-filled with some kind of tobacco flavor.

If they're pre-filled cartomizers, you can flush out the juice with the flushing method I've described in one of my blogs.

You are not doomed with the prefilled carts. I would say give one at least a try because some people actually like them. Personally, I think they taste like ..... My fiance really liked them. Go figure...

Anyway, you can just take out the filler, rinse it, squeeze out the excess water and let it dry for future use. You can rinse out the cart in the same manner. Just make sure you use hot water and don't be afraid to be thorough.

You want to blow out the atomizer before you use it the first time. They ship with a light machine oil on them that you definitely don't want to vape.

Your kit should come with some instructions on how to use your new eGo. If it didn't get back on the forum and ask.

The blowing in the atomizer to get the oil out is what I mustve been thinking of... And thanks both for the cart cleaning method. How hard and how long do I have to blow to get the oil out? Can I damage it by blowing too hard? I jus wanna make sure its all out ha and do new kits come with slightly charged batteries or do I have to wait hours to charge it first?

I've only been vaping about a week now. I have already put a novel-length post in response to another question explaining my decision making process regarding my purchases from them. I originally ordered the standard Volcano Deluxe Kit. It's nice and I love it but I realized that it isn't going to do the heavy duty vaping I would like. (I had no idea I'd enjoy it this much.) Therefore, I just ordered an Inferno kit yesterday afternoon after reading a lot of posts about it on the ECF. The Volcano will come with me when I want to vape in public without drawing a ton of attention to myself and the Inferno will handle most of my vaping.

As far as shipping goes, I can't imagine anything quicker than what Volcano has provided me. Although, I have read complaints where people say that their order didn't get shipped as quickly as they thought it should. I haven't had that experience yet but, once again, I've only been vaping for about a week. I checked out the FedEx tracking number for my Inferno kit this morning and saw that since late yesterday afternoon, my order has made it all the way from Hawaii to Memphis TN and it will definitely be at my door step in St. Louis tomorrow afternoon.

It helps that they are in Hawaii because you can order something pretty late in the afternoon if you're in the continental US and it will still go out that day because of the timezone difference.

Other members on this forum have a lot of good advice on other models that are basically the same size and quality as the Inferno or Magma and they are probably a little cheaper. I'd say to check the other places out because while I've been very pleased with Volcano, it's just my opinion. You may have other priorities and tastes that another vendor might be able to meet better.

The tip for your budget which is what I used in placing my second order yesterday was to do a Google search for Volcano e-cig coupons (or any other vendor for that matter.) There's a site that has coupon codes and it will take 10% off of your order. Volcano also has a reward points program so if you plan on ordering a lot over the years, you can build up points to get a few bucks off future orders. (I think you get roughly $5 for every $100 you spend.)

Sorry that both of my posts are about Volcano. I'm really not trying to shill for them but since I'm so new to the scene they're really one of the only ecig topics that I can add anything even remotely helpful.

Hope any of this helps.

As far as I know, new kits come with partially charged batteries. I use them until the light blinks 20 times and then recharge them, even though some instructions say to charge for 8 hours. Many posters here have said that you don't need to charge batteries for 8 hours. If yours works when you receive it, just use it until the battery dies and then recharge it.

No, you can't damage an atomizer by blowing too hard. I would blow until there's nothing more coming out of the atomizer into the tissue that you should hold at the other end of the atomizer.

Hey I also went with Volcano, I've been analog free for 3 weeks today. I went with the magma kit first, was a great start, then the wife saw I was having soooo much fun she started. At this point I got the Inferno, I like Volcano's 1 yr warranty and there customer svc. If you'rer looking for great juice, I am partial to FSUSA, have tried 2 others so far, but their hopscotch is my favorite. Anyway good luck, and just be sure to order liquid a week before you will run out

The FedEx guy just delivered my Inferno this afternoon. I explained in a different thread that I've kept a very close eye on the tracking number for it since I ordered it and all of my cyber-stalking of FedEx was well worth it. I'm almost drowning in the huge vapor clouds I've been emitting all afternoon. (I guess I should specify they are clouds from the Inferno - that statement could be taken a few different ways other than what I meant.) Luckily, I've only been with my regular Volcano for about a week so it wasn't too heartbreaking to unscrew the atty from the battery and prepare it for indefinite storage. It will come out with me to bars and other public places but the Inferno is the new work horse.

However, I got the cartomizers and I've quickly learned to be sure to take out both the cap and an o-ring under the cap to fill it through the two filling holes on the outside of the carto. Otherwise, if you put juice in the middle all you will have is a very bad burned taste. Unfortunately, it tastes worse than the burnt flavor of a cigarette. Since I've started vaping, the burned taste is what I notice most when I smoke a real cigarette and keeps me coming back to my e-cig so having cartos give the same flavor isn't good. But if you fill them through the proper holes (don't worry, I'm still talking about vaping), the cartos are great.

I had to share the joy of my newest vaping toy.

Also, anyone thinking about Volcano may want to consider this: I ordered my Inferno about 6:00 PM Central time on Tuesday (yes, two days ago). It arrived at my door step today before 1:00 PM Central. It made it all the way from Hawaii to my home in St. Louis less than 48 hours after I placed the order. These guys live up to their reputation of quick shipping and great customer service.

I finally have my eGo!

I knew it was big but woah im surprised to see it in the box!

Here is my question:

I took it apart (it was pre-assembled) and i pulled the empty cart that was in the atomizer off (it didn't have a filter) and blew the atomizer into a tissue until nothing else came out. I opened one of my new pre-sealed carts that was filled with tobacco juice I'm assuming since it was soaking wet and it said I was getting Tobacco carts. I dripped 2-3 drops of the tobacco "flavor" juice I ordered onto the atty so it wasn't hitting dry started vaping!

Does this sound like I did it right? haha I'm not too keen on the flavor and I'm afraid to pull too much at once cause I'm not 100% sure of if I was supposed to drip directly onto the atty, I'm pretty sure one of you guys told me to do so.

But yeah, if I rinse this carts filter and add new juice to it should I blow out the atty once more to get the other tobacco juice out then drip whatever flavor im going to fill the cart with? How many drips should I use on the filter? and how long before you generally need to redrip?

Sounds like you did everything right. Yes, you can rinse out the filter in the inner cart. Yes, you can blow out the atomizer at any time. Yes, you can drip whatever flavor you want onto the bridge of the atomizer...2 to 3 drops, whatever you find works the best. You'll have to experiment with how many drops to drip into the filter. That depends on how big the cartridge is. Drip until it's saturated but not overflowing. From others' posts, you'll have to drip 3 more drops onto the atomizer after every 6 to 10 drags. That's why I only use cartomizers. Can't stand all the hassles involved with dripping, atomizers, and cartridges.

Have fun! Glad to hear you got your eGo!

That's only true if you're not using cartridges with filler.

The trick is to keep the filler wet (some describe it as looking slushy), but not so drenched that liquid drips into the atomizer and floods it. If that happens, blow out the atty and try again.

Have fun with your Ego!

Ok awesome. I've been vaping on and off over the last hour or so inbetween setting up different carts with fluid for my workday later. What I've been doing so far is:

With a freshly clean filler:

Drip 10-15 drops until the filler is glassy but not pooled. The bridge from the atty I've noticed makes a little indentation so I know if I filled it up too much I take a tiny piece of tissue and dab it to absorb the excess. Then I drip 2-3 drops onto the atty, pop the cart on and I'm set with that flavor. I've been pulling the cart and redripping till it's glassy every 10-20 but I feel that I can go longer between re-dripping since it does have pollyfill and its still seems pretty wet. I'm being overly cautious cause I can't get new attys or carts until next Friday (7 days). I'll be cleaning my attys via the method a video linked from the newbie videos from cozzcon on youtube every 2 days to ensure they last long enough for me to order more.

When I switched to a different flavor cart I pre-filled while vaping, posting and such I blew the excess fluid out of the atty and re-dripped the new flavor on it 2-3 drops to ensure the old flavor was out and the new flavor was the only one I was getting.

So far I've tried my fluids I got from LF in Blueberry and Coffee and they are both amazing. I'm in love with Blueberry anything knew I was gonna like it and I totally do.

Another question: How long should I take "a drag" with the manual button? A few seconds? I'm pulling on it while I push the button maybe 3-4 seconds max and I'm pulling on it like I would a cig, into my mouth not directly down my throat. Is this correct?

EDIT: Wow, I described how I'm pulling wrong... I pull directly down my throat not pooling into my mouth...had it backwards haha

I produce more vapor pulling directly into my throat but it doesnt taste as clean...obviously because there's no tastebuds in my throat haha
Which is correct or is there no "right" way?

You're right. You only have to drip 3 drops the first time. I'm so used to others dripping without a cartridge that I forgot about the wick drawing the liquid up from the filter in the inner cart. I only used attys and carts for 3 days back in mid-September.
