You're right. You only have to drip 3 drops the first time. I'm so used to others dripping without a cartridge that I forgot about the wick drawing the liquid up from the filter in the inner cart. I only used attys and carts for 3 days back in mid-September.

I'm still popping the cart out and dripping 1 or 2 drops IDK every 15-20 drags onto the atty even with the filter to keep the flavor fresh and to make absolute sure my atty is not running dry.

@keepmeonpins: You're certainly not doing anything wrong! :) For myself, I only blow out my attys if they start to under-perform (ie. vapor production seems to go down, taste starts to suffer a lot, gets too hard to draw on). The only time I would suggest you *have* to blow out the atty between flavours is if you're going to use a flavour that will taste terrible mixed with the last flavour. More often than not, the old flavour will completely disappear in about 4-5 drags. Until then, you'll have an interesting combination of the old and new flavours, which is sometimes a good thing.

Also, tobacco flavours tend to be VERY resilient in terms of what other flavours can be mixed well with them.

As for how you're drawing, the only right way is the way that gives you the most satisfaction. Try drawing a little longer, a little shorter, little harder, little softer. Have fun experimenting with it to find the method that works best for you. Most people suggest a light, 5-6 second draw. Though whether you get the best results drawing into the mouth first or straight down your throat (direct-inhale, as some call it), is hotly contested depending on what you want most (between flavour, throat hit, and vapour). Short answer: play with it, and do what works best for you... THAT will be the right way! ;)

EDIT: Also, as long as the filler in the cart is wet, and making contact with the atty bridge, the atty can't get dry. The extra drop or two certainly won't hurt (and will definitely keep the flavour AWESOME), but not strictly necessary as long as the cart filler is still wet where it contacts the bridge.

"Which is correct or is there no "right" way?"

I think the right way is whatever you find works the best for you. It seems most people pucker up when taking drags off from cigarettes, but when vaping, they hold the PV down and their lips are more pursed (see Google images for puckered lips and pursed lips for the difference..ha). I puff four or five times without inhaling, creating some vapor (like primer puffs), and then inhale and exhale. This process for me takes about 8 seconds or so. Sometimes, I think I'm just breathing with the PV. But, everyone has their own style of vaping.

You could watch some YouTube videos to see how others vape. Search for the keyword e-cigarettes. I watched a lot of UBrocked videos about a month ago. Here are his videos, to get you started:

And be sure to watch some of MistressNomad's videos:

There are a bunch more at YouTube...

Thanks for the reply CooL!

In preparation for work I opened the new atty and it looks slightly different iinside than the one that was pre-assembled with it. I shrugged it off and blew out the new ones oil and hooked up my 2nd now fully charged battery to it, plus a cart I filled with Chocolate Cream. I took a hit to test it and I'm noticing a slight wheezing when I push the button and pull... But Holy shiz my mouth exploded with flavor which now has me wondering...

Is my first atty not right? I see the bridge but under it seems to be a brown something underneath it, while in the 2nd one I opened that is not there. Any ideas? They both seem to be working properly but the first one is pretty silent... Maybe it's just the two flavors but in the first atty I tried 2 flavors, blueberry and coffee and while the first few drags of each were awesome the flavor flags kinda quickly, its still there just more subtle, where as the other with the new atty I pulled outta plastic packaging is still hitting crazy strong flavor
