Thanks guys!! I DID call the Eye Clinic at the hospital this morning to find out what's up and they said that, unless I have difficultly seeing or if the yellow donut turns into a 'cloud', I'm fine to wait until tomorrow so....

We'll see!! (no pun intended, but it DID come in handy...)

Thanks for all the kind words, you ladies are the best!!

Detached retina is a bummer, had it happen in both eyes about 6 months apart. Happens to near sighted people all the time and is quite common. Surgery seems to be the only fix, put a gas bubble in your eye to act as a splint to hold your eye in place so it can reattach itself, sometimes the floaters or donuts go away and sometimes they don't, mine went away. The surgery is painless and quick, the only bad thing is having to stay facedown until it attaches itself, mine only took 24 hrs. Get it done quick, if it completely detaches you will lose your sight in that eye, with only a 50/50 chance of recovery. Good luck to you

This. Damn, I forgot about the part where you have to stay facedown. Much harder than it sounds. This was indeed the worst part of the whole thing. I had to do it for 3 days. Floaters went away though. Please keep us updated. I'm worried for you.

Hey Domino, that's not very nice, but they are doing wonderful things these days. Have faith, that is coming from someone who is scared to death of dentists!
My s-i-l had numerous long-strand tears in her retina, but they stuck it all back together and re-anchored it, she waited too long to get checked out but she can see better than before the surgery...good thing you went right away, even if it seemed wasted. You're in the system now, at least. Best of luck!

Thanks for all the hearty back-slaps guys!! I have to go in at 2pm today...ahhhh!! If someone gets too close to my eyes, I'm going to get too close to his 'jollies'....:glare:

What? You hurt me, I hurt you. Simple really!! It's in the Bible and everything!! :w00t:

Or, maybe I should just bring PIPER the KILLER DOBERMAN with me! Nah, she'll be too busy making out with anyone that so much as looks at her...:nah:
