Hey Roger! Here's our disclosure on the website - we put it on every applicable product...

*All liquid containing "custard notes" from ALL VENDORS (including Nicoticket LLC) contain some combination of Diacetyl, Acetoin, and/or Acytyl Propionyl (collectively known as "Diketones"). Our liquid does *not* contain Diacetyl, but it *does* contain both Acetoin and Acytyl Propionyl. It is *impossible* to produce "custard notes" in eLiquid without Diketones. Although the inhalation risks associated with Diacetyl are known at high concentrations, research is either non-existent or inconclusive regard to the long-term inhalation risks of Diacetyl at comparatively low levels of concentration. Virtually no longitudinal research exists with regard to the long-term health effects of vaping alternatives to Diacetyl (such as Acetoin, or Acytyl Proptioyl). As with all eLiquid regardless of the types of flavoring used, the user accepts the all liability and risk associated with vaping. ANYONE WHO SAYS VAPING IS TOTALLY SAFE IS IGNORANT OR OUTRIGHT LYING. Our position - even custard eLiquid containing high concentrations of Diacetyl, a chemical compound with known inhalation risks at high concentrations, is safer than a cigarette. Despite the fact that POISON was clearly printed on every pack, we smoked anyway. Users wishing to avoid diketones entirely should avoid ALL liquid containing custard notes from ALL vendors! Users wishing to avoid all risk should avoid vaping. Vape on, my friends… vape on.

We could have an interesting discussion about the safety concerns of Diketones. It's certainly a hot topic, and one that is about to get hotter in the near future. There is some speculation that Diacetyl may be produced with the other diketones are heated... SEE HERE. That's far from scientific, but, it gives reason for pause when considering vapes that contain custard notes.

Personally my daughter brought this up to me a few months ago and we did tons of research about this.. Clark's disclosure is one of the most honest I've seen as many vendors will produce custards and yet proclaim in their sites that they do not use diacetyl and diketones as well (which is impossible when producing custard notes)... Almost every flavor out there sans unflavored has some amount in it as it's a natural fermentation process built at the core of the flavor... My rationale for continuing to vape is history ... In the 7 years vaping has been around I've yet to hear one incident of anyone with popcorn lung that has got it from vaping. Cases are from inhalation at factories and at higher concentrations than in e cigs .. Yes it's a hot topic and regulation at the mfg level would be beneficial although might wipe out vendors not in compliance... Overall I still will vape on! Until I hear of anyone that had got popcorn lung from vaping.

I have not tried the flavors mentioned in the OP because I only vape 100% VG liquids, but I agree with what has been posted here.

If we fear there's a risk of vaping custard flavors, then we shouldn't use them. Some of us were killing ourselves by smoking thousands of damaging chemicals in combustible tobacco products.

By vaping instead of smoking, we have reduced the harm by thousand fold or more.

Cheers and vape on :)

It's about an alternative to smoking that many believe could be safer than burning plant matter. No one at Nicoticket has ever, or will ever, suggest that vaping is safe. The best we can do is provide the information we have at our disposal and allow potential consumers to make informed decisions about what they choose to put in their bodies. We are *not* chemists - and we are not "experts" by any means. What we are is avid vapers AND responsible business people whom wish to approach this issue with transparency and integrity. Vapor is no substitute for clean, fresh air. We honestly hope to "lose" every one of our customers, eventually. I'll glady trade "customers" for a healthy "family" even if they never spend a dime. We'll work ourselves out of business if that is even possible.

I have a question about this, not for me because I am hooked and will continue to vape CB in any case, but I am wondering about Frenilla.

I have a friend who has sensitivity issues and can't vape anything custard or that has any cinnamon and suspects the problem may be Acetoin and Acytyl Propionyl. Does the Frenilla have either of those?

She isn't just being picky, her mouth breaks out in sores that keep her from vaping anything but unflavored for days anytime she tries anything custard or with cinnamon. Of course custard and creme brulee are her two favorite flavors. :(

Frenilla, to my knowledge, does not contain Acytyl Proionyl or Acetoin. The two of them combine to form a "custard note" that is not present. I can actually "taste" both Acytyl Protionyl and Acetoin... if you take pure flavoring and put it in Cool Whip, it's really easy to identify - unmistakable.

As a side note, Diacetyl is delicious - CLS/CB/Frenilla would be so much better with it. It's a shame we can't use it...

Well as far as I'm concerned so far Frenilla doesn't need it or anything else, even though I use it as a mixer a LOT. Any idea how much longer till the next batch is ready? I'm down to only about 60 mils, for me that's going through it pretty quickly. :)

We actually mixed it this morning... it's going on the steep for a minimum of 10-14 days, but I wouldn't consider it "ready to vape" until around 5-1-2014, honestly.

That'll work, I'll probably be cracking the second 60 mil bottle tomorrow so I'll make it just barely, or maybe with a week or two to spare. :)

It seems to take 2-3 overfilled 50ml bottles to get through the cycle for most people... spot on, I say! ;)

thanks for the clarity ..I seem to be drawn to the creamy type of vapes and the Custards are on top of my Provari's daily . Now will their be any mutant type custards or brûlée ? with the caramel or extra shots of flavor? If so put me down for 50-100mls...How do we find out when these special runs come into play? pm's or ?

Welcome bud...

In a word - yes - yes there will be "flash liters" of various "one off" type flavors as business needs dictate. One liters flashes generally last no more than a couple hours, I would expect. They tend to get hit hard (100ml+orders, and fast!)

There may be some short (read, 3-5 liter) runs periodically, the type that tend to last a day or two... and then there will be more substantial runs (like Radioactive, Frenilla, and honestly... I need to add Grape Ape to that list).

Updates are here >>> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...y-updates-limited-time-short-run-flavors.html

I forgot to mention Facebook! I can't link it due to ECF rules, but if you search for Facebook, I generally post the "mutant type" flash bottles there, also!
