So i've noticed my wow cartos seem to not fit quite right onto my diamonds.

The point at which I meet resistance screwing down onto the threads leaves the carto sitting very high.

On a few of them, this results in a weird draw that tends to cut out because the air flow isn't right (but things do activate, they just cut out intermittently, and sometimes its hard to get activated, and I get a mouthful of juice). I can best describe it as HICCUPS :)

Screwing down harder requires FORCE (not good), and just digs into the outer post metal a bit

All my horizontals on the other hand, kanger and halo, screw right down, and produce consistent vapor with no intermittent hiccups in airflow, the draw is effortless (i know I know, using horizontals can cause juice burn, but it hasn't happened to me yet so ... :)

So I blame the cartos! The situation is identical across the board, e.g. with both my auto reg diamond matte black and XL diamond blue

Do you think I should try the sanding trick on the battery threads?

Cyrus....would I post a video that could possibly damage your battery? :p

I am curious since this hasn't come up as an issue in quite awhile. Does that specific carto in the picture work any of your other V4L KR batteries? Just want to make sure it is indeed the battery and not the specific carto theading.

If the store doesn't have 400 grit, 200 will work just fine. It is weird how less than .01 can put up so much resistance to threading. I'm a pretty strong guy and try as I may could not chase those threads down, a quick couple of twists with some sandpaper, wipe down, and they thread right on.

Actually sanding won't make a difference at all Cyrus Vap sir. If my theory is correct, you're using a horizontal coil carto from a batch that used a rather larger rubber o-ring behind the carto post. The will not screw down any further on a gen 1 batt (which is what a king diamond battery is). This was why the post at times needed to be brought up on gen 2 batts when using vertical coil cartos.

No you would not doctor snow as I believe you took a vow to do no harm :)

To answer your question, the carts work, but vape like they're not getting a good seal (sometimes hard to activate switch, sometimes draw geta interrupted, thinner vapor) on my two diamonds and pass through as well. I think the carto just wants to be screwed down more, and doing that with brute force doesn't fix it or really work that well

I'm going to try the carto post down push down with a screwdriver outlined in another thread. If that doesn't work I might sand the batt.

Keep you posted !

EDIT: wonder if sanding down the carto threads would work as well?

(fighting major urge to splurge on some new tanks and a gold or red auto diamond...it hurts!)

The black carto in pic 2 and 3 is a wow :) and those are the screw problem culprits they only go down half way an the draw is unstable

The steel one is a kanger horizontal in pic one ad screws down flush

The halos (not pictured) do have a thicker o ring as you describe but likewise screw down flush
