Well, Crème de vape will make it right, and it will not cost you a penny and they will do it fast.

IDK about the tubes but that seems all kind of wrong. Email them.

And remember, I offered you a Procyon that would PAINT black. Actually I would have the husband do it and he's really good he'd probably know how to anodize it and everything.

I don't recall you offering me a Procyon (I thought that post was a joke). I've already contacted the Facebook group, others have posted they have the same issue (although on their box mods). It must be some kind of bug in the software.

Heh, several times. Perhaps you were blinded by my innuendo as far as being creative and avoiding the word filter. It's possible.

I even attached the song "Paint it BLACK" one time. How tragic it is to be ignored. I don't know if I want to part with it however and you seem pretty happy with your dicodes, other than a) buying and selling the wrong one and now b) saying it's busted. Vapes great though right? If it not a bug I say keep it you are losing money hand over fist.

Have given you much helpful ideas over the LAST um ,14 pages because I swear this thread is now longer than the official dicodes one..

If you might ever want a formerly grey and red stitched like 21700 leather sleeve, I am here for you, dude. Fitty bucks. It's ugly and hides leaks. I haven't tried cleaning it yet but like well I COULD

It is nice and black and could (I Imagine) be deconstructed and MADE into a sleeve for your tube mod.

Now I'm not saying you SHOULD do that but if you wish to do that I AM HERE FOR YOU. LOL.

I may be totally wrong about the display thing, but all my Dicodes do that. I think it's because they've gone to sleep (or maybe a deeper sort of shut off) and it doesn't show a battery etc reading because it doesn't know what it is until you fire it and its circuits can give you a reading. That sentence ran on pretty long; I hope it makes sense.

So, another way. Dicodes doesn't store the battery reading and then show you something that may no longer be correct. When you fire the mod, that allows the board to measure the battery and from that point on you'll have a reading on the display.

You like that tall ... thing better? To each his own I guess. I'm not worried about Astroturf, I don't know why he seems to want to taunt me all the time, but that's his issue, not mine. I'm not interested in any sleeve though, I don't pay money like this to turn around and hide the device. Thanks for the offer though.

I've also noticed a strange issue with my screen. Underneath the screen cover (it appears to be between the underside of the cover and the oled panel), there is some strange marking from the left center edge of the screen that goes outwards, just shy to the middle of the screen (if you're looking towards to the top of the device). It looks like a backwards "F", with the smaller line in the letter F missing (if that makes any sense)? The color of whatever it is seems to be like a transparent white. It doesn't appear to be a scratch, I'm not sure if it's some kind of sensor, or what it is. I'm not able to take a photo of it, it's just too hard to do, you can really only see it in person. When I buy expensive things, I look them over very well. Apparently, when I first got the device, I missed it (perhaps wasn't standing in the right light angle to catch it). Yes I have OCD and I'm proud to have it! I work hard for my money.

My Dani 25 that I sold also had screen issues (lint/dust between the screen cover and the oled panel). I'm sorry if I sound picky but these things just shouldn't' be happening with devices that cost this much money! I'm a bit annoyed now with my V3 screen (you don't see it in normal usage) but if standing in a bright light, you can see it. I'm trying to move past it though, it was paid with free money from the Government after all.

P.S. I might try taking a pic, using the flash to see if it lights up the marking on the screen, but later. I just took a Xanax after reading taunts, and I'm extremely relaxed right now.

I also prefer no mere TUBE mods to my Dicodes box mods but I have enough tub mods for life and they're nice to shove into a purse, especially a Procyon for personal club protection which it seems one needs more and more these days.

I was just messing about. I have noticed ZERO lint behind the screen but I think that would be an issue to like contact Dicodes about because it sounds really weird and unlike them maybe their products have improved along the way.

BUT if there is ONE way to get a German company to sit up and pay attention like Dicodes, well I want to say "lint under the screen " would be a way to do it. They might send you FIVE mods in return for sending yours back and never mentioning it again.

But I have German relatives and the husband's a bit too German (not enough to hate fixing my VW bug he would bleed, mutter about "non standardized things requiring special tools and it would end with him screaming 10 lbs of CRAP in a 5 lb bag." I guess perhaps that might explain the lint they were trying to add something extra. But oh yeah, perfectionism and rigidity the only race that exceeds them might be Lithuania.

I don't think what I'm seeing is lint or dust, I will try to get a picture of it but I doubt it will work out very well. Although speaking of lint/dust, there was a bit on my Dani 25 (but I didn't say anything about it). You really think I should contact Georg at Dicodes about this? A lot of people would say I'm being picky, but these mods are $$$, these issues should not exist period. I guess some people just don't demand perfection, when they spend their hard earned money (in general), and that's why there is such a huge lack in quality control these days because people just accept things and don't say anything.

When I spend this kind of money on a mod, and then I see something like I've described above, it makes me feel like I have a less THAN quality of a device (even though it doesn't affect the operation of the device), you know? That's just me though, other's probably wouldn't even care or have even seen it, but I'm a details kinda guy, and I inspect my electronics (in general), quite thoroughly when I first buy them. Although I guess I missed this first round on the V3.

I've been known to exchange MULTIPLE iPhones in the past, until I get one with a perfect screen (in a case of an iPhone, it usually revolved around specs of lint between the glass and the screen). Things like that are just unacceptable to me.

I will try to get a pic later today, but I can't promise I will be able to capture what I'm trying to describe. Maybe if I use the flash on my phone when I take the pic, it will show the issue. I'll give it a try.

Yes, I do think if it's bugging YOU you should contact Dccodes ,why not? The worst they are going to say is "We can't do anything" but if you have concerns you should at least note them. Dicodes is well renown for its customer service so while other people might be inclined to let it go or whatever, what YOU do is completely up to you. So if it is a problem for you contact Dicodes, I mean what do you have to lose? Maybe it's a genuine defect.

I will say he most perfect mod maker is not perfect. Someone was saying the last letter/symbol in TC did not quite fit the screen on a dani or dani 21700, I forget. But it turned out to be just the only way to make it work and normal.

No such thing as perfection eh? But if it seems not normal, then you should ask.

I think you should contact Dicodes and I am WAY more right than @AstroTurf .

Who helped you get the first one sold? I am just FULL of great advice. I have noticed NOTHING untoward on ANY of my danibox screens and I do enjoy looking at them because they tell me voltage charge, especially in the mini so I am prone to rotate my 18650 batteries through them to see if they need recycling. It is the most fun way I have found. LOL.

Dicodes told me I would have to send it to them in Germany, BLANK that! They said what I'm seeing is probably part of the oled board and that there is nothing abnormal that I'm seeing. This is what I hate about buying internationally. Today I'm having second thoughts about selling the Dani 25, I might sell the V3 and buy the 25 again lol, I think Astro was right about it being more customizable and now I regret selling it lol. I know, I just can't wait for the Astro-TURF jokes to start rolling in...

Astro, you use to be so nice in the past on here, what changed with you?
