I got hit from them having security issues for 500 bucks.. And never heard anything from them. Not very good customer service.
North Korea, China, the US of A, England, etc., all have trouble keeping hackers out of their Intelligence Agency's databases (US FBI/CIA, British MI5/MI6, Chinese MSS, N.Korean SSD online databases have all been hacked within the past 5 to 10 years) - what makes you think a small e-juice vendor is not vulnerable? Also, what makes you think that AVE is responsible for a 3rd party hacking into their system and stealing your bank information?
If you go into 7/11 to withdraw money from the atm and someone puts a knife to your throat and demands your money, would you say 7/11 is responsible for the robbery? No.This is the EXACT same situation only more modernized (hacking is the techonology age's equivalent to breaking and entering/property theft/armed robbery (they keyboard is their weapon of choice).
Making purchases on the internet will never be 100% safe; a hacker only has to be right 1% of the time to steal money - an online company has to be right 100% of the time to protect their clients information. It's EXTREMELY difficult to protect our electronic information, even the CIA has trouble
completely protecting highly classified information.
Not yet, looks like they're getting there but the "closed for today, reopening at 8am" message has been up for a few days.
That's because they have opened and reached sale capacity for that day so they close shop again until the following morning. That's normal - AVE has done that as long as I can remember.
I agree on the customer service. Ben had posted for those affected to let him know via the ticket system. I did. My ticket mysteriously disappeared. No answer, it was just there for a couple of days then it was gone.
I've had this problem with them before, too. I've sent complimentary tickets and THOSE were saved and responded to. Whenever I've sent them a question or concern the gremlins seem to eat my tickets. They disappear unanswered within a day or two. Has anyone else seen this? Or is it just me?
I know it's not their fault that the credit card issues are occurring, I blame the hackers and the processing company for that. However, this is no excuse to completely ignore customers.
You have to realize the massive amount of emails/tickets/PMs they must be receiving. I would imagine they are completely overloaded in all aspects.
Their back in business...but are they really. Let me preface this rant by saying, i'll continue to buy from the aliens, the Boba's is my #1.
Here's my problem, I don't get that after a refurbish, rebuild, restructure...etc etc, were back to the same ol problem...why didn't they set themselves up to take orders any time/day of the week, there's no other company I know of that limits their sales in this way, if your selling 10 times what you used to then adjust accordingly. They've been doing this long enough to have established a sales history, knowing how much of a particular product they move monthly.
Needless to say, I've been trying to order since the not so grand reopening...no luck.
What the hell are you talking about? I know MORE companies that limit sales for sake of speedy production/delivery than companies who don't limit sales. This isn't even specific to juice manufacturers - if you think trying to buy juice is bad you should be happy you're not a Genesis style hybrid fan or high-end Genesis style RBA fan because those are a ..... to get a hold of. All Zenesis/Orion/Macaveli/etc., hybrids sell out within 5-10 minutes of being available online.
They limit sales so that it doesn't take a damn month to receive your order.
People like you make me laugh, you expect to be able to place unlimited orders every day BUT you don't realize that you're not the only person ordering their juice - if they allowed orders all day long, every day they would get so backed up the they would have to shut down the site for weeks/months in order to catch up and some people wouldn't receive their orders until a month or two later.
I'm not even a big fan of AVE (haven't tried their juices YET - will be placing an order tomorrow) but I have enough common sense to know that it's unrealistic to expect them to be open 24/7 or even 12/7 because turn around time would GREATLY suffer and the AVE crew would be EXTREMELY overloaded with work and quality would suffer tremendously.
