Did anyone out there quit analogs first, and then start vaping?

Yep- I quit analogs 12 days ago after 14 years give or take a few times I quit for short times- now waiting for my VK to get here! I originally ordered from the smoke anywhere smoke 51 people and I don't think I am ever going to get my order plus I have now heard many quality issues about this company. I emailed them today to have my order cancelled- we'll see what happens!

I had quit smoking for a year and a half before I started vaping I should mention that I was using nic gum that whole time but it just wasnt doing it for me anymiore I was actually goung to go back to analogs when I discovered the ecig, now I will never go back to analogs. These things can be a pain at times but well worth it the stench of cigarettes gags me now I cant believe I inhaled all those terrible chemicals for so many years. Good Luck I hope you like the ecig

Sort of. I had worked my way down to very low nic analogs, but couldn't break the physical habit. Finally I did out of complete disgust with all of the respiratory infections and colds I would get each year. I quit for about a year, and then I started breaking down and having an analog every few weeks. Then that got up to having maybe 2-3 a day for three days, then stopping for four days, then back on (work schedule related). Since nic takes about 2-3 days to get out of your system, you could say I was training myself to easily quit. Or as Mark Twain said, (paraphrase) "quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world to do. I have done it myself thousands of times"
But I started using eCigs and I haven't had an interest in analogs since. They replace the physical act of smoking "good enough" to fully meet that psychological need for me. And they don't stink, or burn my eyes, no ashes, no burns on upholstery or clothing, no being a social pariah- and they don't give me a cough or make me susceptible to respiratory infections. And even with buying replacement atomizers, batteries, eLiquid, etc. they are still significantly cheaper than the same amount of analog smoking would be.
I smoked analogs regularly for over twenty years. I had tried patches and they did nothing in reducing my craving. I had initially quit with the help of that antidepressant drug, I forget its name (along with a strong motivation to quit). But once you go off it, the urge returns. You can't stay on it your whole life.
So that is my story. Enjoy your new eCig. Reading these forums thoroughly , especially the introductions and tutorials for new users, is a key element. There's a learning curve for using them.

Here's my little tips for you: stuff and fill your own blank carts; use a cart mod (straw mod or teabag mod); avoid cart dripping and liquid in mouth by pressing the filled cart filling end quickly against a smooth cloth or paper towel until it's not saturating the spot completely every time. Get a multimeter and learn how to use it to check bad attys. Pick a method to clean attys. Blow out your attys by mouth, compressed air is too high pressure. The attys have tiny thin wires in them that don't take much to snap and then your atty is toasted permanently. Don't let the cleaning cycle of your battery run on the atty- unscrew it quickly whenever you notice it starting. Never let a cart run dry, if you taste the dry atty taste, stop vaping immediately. I got plenty more, but that will do for now.
