DiD clone genesis problem

I ordered the DiD a week ago,was excited when it came.Got it all set-up,and tried it on my Vamo V2.initially it was all good.Till my Vamo keep having short circuit issues.

I thought it was my Vamo.So I tried the DiD on my friends Vamo V2.The same problem persist.keep giving short circuit issues.
I tried washing,re meshing,re coiling a few times.
Problem still persist.

So my conclusion is the DiD is either built not up to scale or maybe it's jut not compatible.
Any thoughts would be nice...

I have a couple of DID style atty, including a DID clone, none of them are giving me issues. Variable mods seems to have an issues with that kind of setup, make sure to have a higher resistance, too low and it will not fire.

Timmy thanks for the heads up.i did try coiling the mesh more than usual, the first fire was fine,but when I hit fire again it just short-circuit.
The highest I tried to coil was 1.8ohms.

Mine is 1.6ohms on my variable voltage mod and it works fine. Try pushing the center post down to make sure it makes contact with your pv. Also, make sure your ss mesh is fully oxidized, oxidizing it a few more times won't hurt.

*Works perfectly fine on my vamo as well

Its either you mesh or you coiling is the problem...do follow methods if you watch on youtube.. For shorts usually are your coils unlles you do your mesh oxidiation right...

Recently won a chid on ecf, and I must say, loving it. At first I just wrapped a small 1.1 ohm coil and ran in the 3.4v range on the Provari, finally decided to give the higher ohm a try. Currently on 2.4 at 5v on the same setup. If you keep getting shorts, as I did for a bit on the 2.4ohm, try gently nudging the coils around. sooner or later those shorts will hopefully go away. prepping the mesh properly and taking your time will pay off!

Just make sure it's really oxidized hard, also make sure the bottom and top of the mesh aren't touching anywhere, but you won't have to worry that if it's again well oxidized. So I'd say go torch the mesh more!

What i usually do with new ss mesh on my gens is i use it on my mech mod for a day to let the mesh oxidise more, then i use it with vv mods, by then the mesh will be good to go without shorts

Just a little note to all. Will like to advice not to leave your rebuildable filled and being untouched for a long time. Left mine filled and went overseas for about 2 weeks. When I got back and vaped it I tasted a metallic taste and here I am building another wick and coil...

When oxidizing your mesh, dyou guys normally roll your mesh first then oxidize or oxidize first then roll? Any slight advantages when dg either one of them?

I'll oxidize first, roll, then oxidize and quench 3 times, then drip juice and burn 3 times again. This way I find I normally will get a 100% working wick. Kiasu...

Exactly the same, except that I burn twice

roll first for me, oxidize for 15 secs then quench with distilled water, i do this for 3 times, but i don't do the drip juice and light it up method.

1) Cut necessary amount needed.
2) Make sure no fine "hair" along edges.
3) Roll 1st.
4) Torch till cherry red.
5) Serve.

No quenching, no dripping.

What Timmydawg said was probably true. Just lift up the wire mesh a lil if it's fully oxidized and make sure it doesn't hit your cap too. Use the Petar K's method for coiling, you won't go wrong. I troubleshooted my 5th cobra clone and 2 AGA T for past 2 days...what a wreck.. Good luck Rushsheez.
