Did Clone Tutorial (genesis style)

Ok so I haven't watched every tutorial out there from oxidizing mesh to wrapping coils. I FINALLY get my did clone in my vapemail last night. Super stoked I couldn't wait for my provari to cone in from provape so I figured meh I shall build and give it a go on my twist. Not having any way to measure resistance I was very careful.. I wrapped a 3-2 and a 6-5 .. at first I had mad hot spots then as soon as I get all the coils to glow it would stop working all together.. I fiddle some more with the coils they start burning but no glow at all. Keep in mind that I am twisting from 3.2 to about 4.2 volts trying to get this coil to burn and or glow BRIGHT. Not hapening . help!!

do you have a multimeter? if not, wait until your provari comes in. being able to test resistance will help greatly for rebuilding.

If you don't have a multimeter or a device with short circuit protection don't mess with ss mesh because you will have shorts. I use a twist myself, but i have an ego passthrough (no battery- direct power source) that has amazing short circuit protection. Even if the multimeter doesn't pick up a short that thing does. We are wrapping the main electrical component around a stainless steel conductor, there will be some trial and error.

I think that if I had a true passthrough, I wouldn't want to test out it's short-circuit protection, nor would I trust it... heh.

I think I am going to try to make a simple cotton wick work; without drilling anything out, first.

Then we'll see.

The mesh just seem like a pain in the ....

But that's probably just my naivete at this juncture in the learning curve.

I haven't gotten these things yet and will not try to make any coils until I have a meter to check ohms and to make sure I don't have any shortages. I don't want to kill my trusty Telescope from Mad vapes.

Yes, you'll definitely need a meter. I would suggest getting some 32 ga a1 kanthal as well, especially starting out. Check e-bay and SteamMonkey for sources. But by all means do experiment with the Nichrome. Some folks like it.

I would also suggest starting with the Phoenix, using cotton. (COTTON!!!! heresy, heresy, lol) At least you'll have something to vape on while you tackle your ss builds. Be sure and let your cotton wick soak a couple of hours before vaping if you do decide to try it. Good luck, and happy vaping.

Forgove me if i sound ignorant here, but i was not going to sift through the fourteen plus pages to find this out, but what is the best mod for the DiD clone? Until recently i have been rocking it on a 1000/mAh ego-t with ego booster (which as of yesterday i had a Lavatube V1 delivered) which is more then fine for me.

I am asking which one works best as i am planning on getting a second DiD and looking at either getting the smoktech telescopic, the gg clone or a vamo for the secondary DiD, but out of the three choices wanted one that would rock it fairly well

Make sure the syringe has a long enough needle to reach to the bottom of the tank and you should be good to go.

That's good advice, also whatever type of syringe you are using make sure it doesn't plug the fill hole. When you squeeze juice in air has to get out some how.
