Did everyone quit analogs as soon as they got their e cigs?

Sigh. I feel like a failure. When I first got my 510 my usage of analogs dropped significantly to 2-3 a day. Got a 3.7 battery mod. Started getting more cravings, ordered higher nic stuff. Went to 5 volts. Still reaching for the analogs, at least not as much. This was in early november.

December had me reaching for analogs even more, up to almost a pack a day. Got a 6v. tried more juices. Ordered snus. Not too bad but I don't see that they do much.

Sitting at about 8-10 analogs a day, sometimes more. I ordered stonewall dissovables, Java flavor. I put one in my mouth. I think that is the worst thing I have ever tasted in my life. (Anyone want 99 of them?)

I want to stop, I love vaping. I love the toys, I love the gadgets. I love the flavors and the plumes of smoke.

So, almost 2 and a half months vaping, with an enormous collection of juice and PVs and still something is missing.

I love this thread!
My first VP was a NJoy....it sucked...and I sucked. It just didn't produce ANY vapor after the first draw and batts died fast! I realized I needed the instant gratification of some vapor output and started doing research. I decided on a Vapor King and the day it came it's all I smoked til bedtime, when I just had to have an analogue.
Now I vape ALL THE TIME, AND I DO MEAN ALL THE TIME. I don't know what it is, but there's something lacking that I haven't nailed down yet. Perhaps it is the lower nicotine. I'll have to try a stronger mix for a while. My throat has been feeling a bit raw the past couple of days cause I think I'm vaping too much. But the juice I'm using is a PG mix and I've read on here that it can be harsh on the throat so I'm ordering some VG juice to see if that helps.
So for those of you who struggled with quitting analogues right off, what were the issues you had and how did you handle them to break free? One of my fav things to do is sing and just in the last week there's been a significant change for the better in my range and ability to extend notes...despite the slight rawness in the throat. I can't wait to see and hear what happens when I don't have to have that analogue with my first cup of jo and after meals.

I still have the urge for the trusty old analog when I'm drinking beer for some reason. I hate that I want it, and I hate that I smoke it, but I know my e-cig will still be there for me on a daily basis. :)

I'd still say going from 20+ analogs a day to about 10 per month is a pretty good achievement, and I'm happy about it. As long as I'm not drinking, I have zero desire for analogs.

Right after I got my first ecig, I was out shopping with a friend who is a smoker. The batteries died on me so I had a couple analogs. Been vaping for a few days by then and they tasted pretty bad. At that point, I knew I needed more vaping stuff which I got and haven't had the dead battery problem again.
About a month into vaping, I was nicotine free. The one downer to vaping was the hardware for me. About four/five months ago, I discovered MIY mods--I love em.
So, at this point, the vaping world is a near perfect place.
I say near perfect because there are still times when I craved an analog because my brain is telling me something is still missing. And I must admit, one day, while with the same friend, I took a puff, but as a former president said, I didn't inhale---the taste was horrible.
I'm pretty convinced that my mystery craving is just a mind thing.

I had four cartons of analogs in the freezer and a few stray packs. I sold some of the cartons and gave the rest away right before Xmas. The only thing I got left over from my smoking days is lighters and ashtrays. Ashtrays hold my vaping stuff now.

I started this program of E. Cigs, after receiving sample kit from Knight Sticks, didn't think I would enjoy smoking this way, however, since I have been smoking since Washington crossed the Patomic, I truly enjoyed vaping, hope that's the correct word. Now waiting for 2 diff kits, and I miss it, so I am back on my ole stannd bys Capri Menth. Lights. Must say they are harsh compared to the E. Cig. ...be so happy to get back on them.

I also use my ashtray at the living room table, to hold cuttings left over from making pyramid tea bag mods, and a toothpick for poking around the cart filling. I just started vaping last night. Minus one short craving last night (it was just weird not smoking!) I have not had a craving since. I'm using 36 mg strength e-juice, and it is just about right for a 1 1/2 - 2 pack a day Camel Lights smoker such as myself (well, ex-smoker).

I'm a convert, for sure!

I was originally given a 901 with 1 bat and 1 atty. I enjoyed that, but definitely needed supplies. I finally scraped the money together and just got my 510's in the mail. We also just bought a carton of analogs last night. Anyhoo, I have found that just having the nicotine to vape isn't quite stopping the analogs. Part of my difficulty seems to be with other habits I have developed with smoking analogs.
We smoked in our last rental home. When we moved out...GAG!!! I thought I'd spew when I smelled how bad the smoking had permeated everything!! So, now we smoke outside. Vaping hasn't totally replaced the analogs for me because I can vape all over the house!! I suppose if I left the 510 out where I used to smoke, it may add to the effect.
I am not smoking as much, but will make a concerted effort when I get extra atty's and DIY niquid supplies.

I stopped for 5 days and then batteries were out at same time (user error) so I bought a pack of regular smokes. I quickly ordered extra kits, supplies so that would not happen again (hopefully). I smoked the last of that pack over a week ago and haven't really had the desire for one since.

I decided to clean out my car yesterday, the smell was terrible. Of course, it will take several more cleanings to eliminate the smoke/stink but it is better and a great motivator to never go back.

A couple hours after my first DSE 901 PV shipment arrived, I smoked my last analog. I got half way through a Pall Mall light 100 and, in disgust, put it out. I have not smoked since.

    That was 180 days ago.

The first few weeks were tough going, at times. But, with nicotine gum and lozenges (which I was already using to decrease my analog intake significantly), along with plenty of vaping, I'm past the difficult stage. I still get the occasional urge to blaze up, but that's quickly countered by vaping and/or NRT.
