I bought a wismec rx200 the other day at a vape shop in Ottawa, after hearing so many good things about it. It was either that or the cuboid, and the look and extra battery of the rx200 was really appealing, so I went for it. All in all, with the mod, three LG batteries and a bottle of liquid it came to 180 after tax. I think just the mod itself after tax was about 120.

Looking online at some shops they're selling the ....ing thing for as little as 59.99. Of course before s&h but even still doesn't come close.

The mod is very sturdy and I have a really long warranty, through the shop and through wismec. Even still, I can't shake the feeling that I've been played a little.

B&M sellers will always cost more as they have more overhead. They could be paying $2000 per month alone for rent. Then add in hydro, heat, wages, payroll taxes and so on.

Some online sellers could be operating out if their basements where it's a tax deduction, not an expense.

to be honest most all vape shops i've went to have ridiculous prices on hardware, ejuices are usually decent prices though so yeah i think so

I mean I have peace of mind knowing that there aren't any defects. It's working like a champ and it's not a knockoff. I just feel... Cheated, y'know?

Agreed.

It all depends on how you look at it. Buying from a B&M you probably paid the going price but online is almost always cheaper.

A better way to look at it is that you really like the device. If you think it was worth the price to have immediate gratification and you like the gear then no you didn't get ripped off.

I understand paying a little more at B&M shops, but when the price is marked up 100% or more, it's just plain ridiculous. I walked into a place once that wanted $50 for a Subtank Mini. I asked if that price was firm, they said yes, I thanked them and walked right back out the door. On my way out the assured me that if I could find it locally for any less, they would gladly match the price. That's great and all, but if I can find it cheaper at another local shop, why would I bother coming back here for the price match, and not just buy it then and there? Which is what I did later that day, when another shop had them for $10 cheaper.

B&m will always be more expensive, they have to pay for rent, employees, utilities, pretty much ur paying extra so they can be there whenever u need something asap

If u are frugal like me... I buy everything online and check my tracking page every few hours lol

I even saw the rx for as little as 40 somewhere, 3 lgs runs about 6-8 depending where u buy plus shipping, And it depends on what bottle of juice he sold u

I like B&Ms because I like inspecting and testing the product before I walk away with it.

Plus you get this atmosphere:

The main reason I went out to buy the mod was because my crown (finally!) arrived in the mail after the two week wait. I concluded that my evic vtc mini wasnt fully capable of running the crown full force, and needed something with more oomph.

And yes I agree with all of you. The peace of mind knowing that my mod is in mint condition at point of sale, and being able to walk out of there with something physical I can use right away was worth the extra hundred imo.

The chaps were kind enough to update my mod to 3.0 and give me tips on how to properly set up my crown. I should add that, with the right steps and proper care, the crown is a holy beast. Vaping with the tc ni-200 coils at 600f is amazing, and I was never a tc kind of guy.

Addendum: I buy all my stuff from a B&M or flea market location of an online seller. I pay a premium to do this but I'm okay with that. My shinyitis can't wait the 2 or 3 days for delivery.

2 or 3 days dellivery ?

Guess you haven't ordered from fasttech yet :D

You paid more than I would pay. But then I would have checked online availabilty prior to the purchase.
You also paid a pretty average price, considering you got it at a local shop and I'll assume at least some support and advise. Sure you could have gotten the mod from China for $50, in 4 to 8 weeks or more. Batteries you have to buy local or online from an in same country seller.

What matters is that it's what you wanted and you were able to hold it and see if up front and walk out of the store with it. I bought both of mine online, but I knew I wanted it and didn't mind waiting. If you want a second one, order online since you already have one in hand.
