Did I kill my atomizer?

I started vaping a little over a month ago. I jumped in and purchased a Provari as my first PV, and with it ordered a bunch of cartos and a few tanks. I wasn't interested in dripping, as I wanted this to be as "fiddle-free" as possible. I've been very happy with my setup, but found I was blowing through cartomizers trying out all the juices I ordered. So, I ordered an atomizer. After it arrived in the mail, I blew out the primer and started dripping and vaping with it. It was great while it lasted. After only one afternoon of use, it is now giving me the E1 error, and I can't get it to work. Did I ruin it already? I let it sit for a few days, then tried it again, and still got the E1 error. I'd like to have at least one atomizer around for trying new flavors, so I will most likely order another one. Any advice that can be given would be much appreciated so I don't do the same thing again. :)

You may get that error when it is dry . Best way to check is to go to the Ao menu item on the provari and see if it still reads the same ohm value . If it does then it is ok . Some of the time you can reset it by removing the battery for a second or two . If all that fails then see if it will work at a lower voltage . The provari can be over protective at times .

3.7 volts on a 2.5 ohm atty should have been ok I doubt you held it on long enough to cook the coil on it . If it was reading 1ohm then yes the E1 error was to protect the provari from harm . Some atties are hit or miss due to quality control by the manufacturer . Not all atties are genuiene Joytech atties there are a lot of knock offs . Some work great others are hit and miss or just c**p .

It's likely nothing you did a 2.5 ohm atty at 3.7v should have no issues if it was wet, running them with not enough liquid can cause them to overheat and pop but if you were feeding it plenty of juice just sounds like a bad atty. I've had some last less than a day and others go for months and months with cleaning.

I've had a boge carto give me the E1 on the provari on the first drag. Swapped it out with a new carto and never received another error msg. From then on I give it a little test before I pop on a tank and fill it! I won't mention the time I primed a carto, put on a tank, filled it, started vaping, then realized I forgot to punch holes.
