Did you use nicotine BEFORE you got your e-cig?

I'm curious to know if anyone actually started the e-cig without coming in off of some other kind of nicotine delivery.. So vote!

PS: This isn't a "did it cause you to quit smoking" thread .. Just want to see how many of us are ex smokers. If you smoke and vape, please still select the first choice.

You are missing an option that would be my case. I was not using nicotine before I got my ecig, and I am still not using nic. I use to smoke but quit about 3 years ago, before e-cigs came around. Like many, I did not really care to give it up. It was more of a habit addiction for me rather than chemical. I figured I would give the ecig a try, because the urge is still there on occassion, even after a few years. I have not reverted to full time vaping at all. In fact, maybe one session a week, but that could increase if I start hanging around smokers more again (depending on current hobbies). I do not plan to increase from 0mg nic.

Thorn, it looks as if the last option would cover your particular case. At one time in the past, you did use nicotine.

The case that is not covered would be

"No, I never used nicotine in the past, and I only use zero nicotine in my e-cig."

I viewed the last option as indicating that ecigs helped me go from analog nic down to 0mg, which was not the case.
