Good poll.
I work at a job where there can be high concentrations of CO2. When I smoked, I'd work a 12-hour shift, and would be wheezing, coughing and short of breath.

Now?

The CO2 doesn't effect me at all.

Yet another reason to hate the FDA -they want me to go back to that life.

.......s!

(The side effect, though, would seem to be weird dreams of zombies...)

I lost my morning hack after day 3 & on about day 5 noticed things like vehicle exhaust (with windows up & a/c)
I can now smell someones analog from well over 50ft away if the wind is right & can smell stale smoke on people in grocery stores.

Rob

Same here. Can smell burning tobacco for quite a distance now.

I do, however, maintain my firm resolve to NOT become one of the tobaccophobic antismoking jackasses that I had to deal with when I smoked.

Never. If they want to smoke, it's not my business to bother them.
But if they ask for ecig information, they get a card or two. :D

Before I started vaping I could even find myself puffed out when fighting to get the duvet in it's cover! .....no problems now.

Dude, she has you stuffing the duvets!8-o Then again if I had stuffed a few more of them I might not be separated and noticing all the 'new' 'scents' about my place:rolleyes:. But then again never would have been able to quit smoking with her around.:sneaky:

I had terrible morning pipe clearings with Hitchcokingly disturbing shower drain fodder followed by many a daily hacking. All mostly gone now!
10 weeks in now and as the euphoria of the 'switch' is on the wane there are the oddly romantic cravings for whatever it was my analogs actually tasted like....kinda like missing the wife:shock: 25years of smoking and the Divorce from that is... SAVING me money. One question though Pete; How often am I supposed to change the pillowcases? Laundry is the time I miss it the most...marriage that is.

I have COPD so it might have taken a little longer for me but for the first month I was hacking up so much crud that it was scary sometimes. I'd wake up feeling as though I was drowning in it. But, this was after 42 years of heavy analog usage.

Now, after a few months, my smoker's hack is completely gone, as well as the torrent of junk my lungs were clearing out. I used to use a inhaler 4 - 5 time a day, now I use it once every few days. COPD can't be cured but it can be slowed to a crawl.

My doctor said my airways sounded clear for the first time and didn't have any problem with the PV.
sorrry for the info overkill but I thought it was pertinent to the question. :D

Well, there wasn't really an option that fits me. Although I've smoked anywhere from 1 pack to 2 1/2 packs a day for the past 20 or so years I've never had any kind of lung trouble, problems breathing, smoker's hack, anything like that. Probably because I didn't really inhale so much as hold the smoke in my mouth with a very minimal amount going into my lungs.

Well Mike, they say you should change your sheets and pillow cases every week or two. It reduces those pesky mites that like to eat your dead skin cells and also chance of contracting or prolonging illnesses.

Realistically, I don't do it more than once a month, sometimes less. :)

As for the poll, I have not noticed a drastic change but have only been using the ecig for a week now. My throat has always been sensitive though. Sometimes it feels like I burned my tongue on a really hot drink. I'll vote on the poll after a few more weeks of testing. :D

Been about 1.5 months since my last analog and the only time I cough is after lunch. I am still hacking out tar but it's strange how it is only after I eat lunch. I got a feeling I will be going through this for a while until my lungs have healed completely. I smoked 1+ packs a day for the last 21 years so I'm sure there is a lot of tar in there. I feel 100% better since I started vapeing.:D

I WANNA hack out tar!!! Not that its pretty but just for the proof that its going away.

Not sure how much clearer my lungs are getting but I can tell you one thing.. I Can BREATHE!

Before ecigs, it seems that I had a chronically stuffy nose. Not anything like sneezing just seemed to be breathing thru a straw half the time. Now I inhale and its like the Lincoln Tunnel...lol j/k but I am sure you get the picture. I was waking up at nights, that has been drastically cut as well as the chronic headache I seemed to have. Not sure when it went away, I was so used to it. Just noticed one day it was gone!!!

Baby steps!!!

Clearly these things are helping alot of people. Interesting that the federal government values money over our lives.

Which is exactly why I put that little tidbit of information in the text of my cards that I pass out to all of those interested.

"However, Washington wants people like me to go back to smoking tobacco cigarettes so they can get their hands on the tax revenue generated. "
