so i always thought people who despised kanger coils so much were exaggerating about the terrible quality control. i never owned any kanger products but last week i needed a new tank for my ego (which i only really use if I'm going to be in a crowded place to stealth vape) and i picked up an aerotank mini and just for the hell of it i picked up a standard aerotank. i tried both tanks out and was pretty impressed with the flavor and airflow systems. a couple days of heavy use passed and it was time to change the coils. i popped out a coil for each tank, screwed them in, aerotank mini: dud, aerotank: dud. other three coils in the pack? all duds. 10 bucks down the drain and now I'm terrified to shell out the money for another pack. so if you never believed how terrible kanger coils really are, believe it. if you need some decently priced tanks, you can't go wrong with aspire. they make good coils and out of 10-15 packs I've bought i have only gotten one coil that wasn't functional out of the box

Were these coils Boxed (Kanger) and logo'd?

Honestly not doubting but I have never, in over a hundred coils, had a single Kanger Branded coil even more than .3ohm out of whack and not one dud.
90%+ of new coil No fires are non-contacting center pin. This shows in everything from ce5's to Protanks and on. I have even advised a Nautilus owner and that was all it was.

I buy my Kanger coils boxed, genuine from Vaping Me or Discount Vapers, occasionally MBV if I'm in a hurry. Much less than 10 bucks a box (Vaping Me and DV run about six) and never had a bad one, most can be cleaned/dry burned to last 3-5 weeks. I'm sure bad batches are possible, but are you certain they were authentic? I tried knockoff coils once...waste of money.

Plus one for the Aspire , I got a lot of trash from Kanger when I started vaping , not knockoffs , genuine Kanger 5 packs with 3 out of five not functional for different reasons , the Aspire was a big relief for me , but I've long since moved on to RBA's and RDA's , I don't look back fondly at clearomisers , Kanger in particular .

    Kelly (OP),

Multimeter is the answer to find the culprit.

    1. Check if coils have a resistance then screw them in tanks.
    2. Check if coils screwed in tanks still have a resistance and not shorten.
    3. If you pass 2 steps above and couldn't fire them then the culprit is the center pin of your device that needed an adjustment.
