Didn't know there was a health forum. Anyways, any way to distinguish a PG allergy from a VG allergy? And vice versa? Pretty scared.

So, about a week ago I took a toot on my ecig and laid down, all the sudden I felt gas/liquid/pressure filling my chest then exploding. I felt like I was about to puke and have ........ at the same time, neither happened weirdly. Anyways, christmas day we're driving and bam, more ......... I thought it was the liquid I had at the time, so I switched it out. Same things happened. Now I've used four different eliquids, all completely different flavors, and whenever I take a hit my hands and arms start getting itchy, then my throat starts to close a little and I get scared. It secedes after a few minutes but still...is this an allergy? I also have some muscle weakness and chest pain..

I've been on this forum and vaping for just over a year and never heard of anything like what you've said here. If I were you I would definitely see a doctor. Many people, myself included, tend to fear this or that when first vaping because, after all, it is something new to us but with time or hindsight we usually find something else was causing our problems... the body going through what it does healing from smoking, coming down with a cold, getting dehydrated and, yes, some new allergies we haven't experienced before that are just coincidentally coinciding with starting vaping and would have shown up without it but I haven't, personally, read of anything as severe as what you're describing if I've read it as you intended. Maybe someone who has experienced one degree or another of PG allergy will come along. I'm not allergic to it so haven't read any in-depth threads on it. But do see a doctor and if you suspect its vaping, by all means stop until you're sure. I guess it could be overdoing in fact but am not sure. You don't say how much you're vaping or what nic level.

Of goodness. I'm so sorry you're feeling badly. I never had any reaction like this. Too much pg makes me itchy & give me some dry skin but that's about it for me personally. I've also had nausea & a headache from too much nic before & some killer gas when I was first getting started for a couple of weeks along with some tiredness I attributed to the switch. Are all of the juices from the same vendor? I highly recommend making a trip to your doctor just to make sure everything is ok. Hope things get better for you soon!

I'm thinking with everyone else here that you should for sure talk to your doctor about this!!
To me perhaps, with the itchiness symptoms it could be an allergy, but it also sounds like your getting nervous and maybe having an anxiety attack.
I used to get them and it's no joke!!
Go to your Dr.!!
I hope you feel better!
