If a person is wanting to quit combustables, this will totally work for them. If they're not willing to quit, then there is no chance of it.
I also noticed that a person who has no interest in vaping tends to dramatically cough when they try it. I didn't cough when I tried it. My husband didn't cough when he tried it. My neighbor (who I NEVER thought would quit) didn't cough when she tried it. In fact, the first time I offered it to her, she said, "No thanks." When she ran out of smokes and was having a nic fit, she changed her tune. I set her up. No dramatic coughing... The first drag can be a little harsh because of the difference, but the dramatic coughing and hand waving is totally uneccessary.
Tuesday, I'll be driving a smoker around. She's not going to be allowed to enjoy a smoke in my truck. I'll be happily chain vaping though, as I normally do when driving. I'll have an extra setup on me that has something delicious in it for her, in the event she can't take my "no smoking" rule. Why am I being so mean? On Friday, apparently they were all talking about e-cigs and how they don't work for those wanting to quit smoking and that she'd rather get cancer the "legitimate" way - right as she lit up a smoke. I wasn't there and I don't think she even knows I vape, she just thinks I'm a non smoker. Of course, others who know I vape brought it to me immediately, lol. I'm the only vaper in the organization. So now, I have to prove her wrong. I'm not strong arming her, but I resent her comments because they were uninformed yet she tried to speak with authority because her daughter tried a disposable that did nothing for her.

Oh and she coughs every time she lites a smoke too.
I think it really is more if a person is willing to try something different. Then to actually realize that vaping tastes better than smoking and you don't have competely give up something you love to do.
