Don't bother to give a weight or dress size, just post what you are doing or if you managed to lose any weight.
Remember ladies, it's not about beauty..you are already beautiful to us, it's about health. Staving off diabetes, heart problems, leg problems ect. I am not going to get healthy by quitting analogs just to get sick from weight related problems!

Goal..10lbs I need to lose more..but it's a start.
Method, walking and stretching and laying off salties!

I'll join you on your adventure, MaryKay. And I totally agree with you.

Since I stopped smoking, I have definately gained weight. I checked out the calories I consumed today (something I never do) and found that I had consumed 2500! I think I'm on a temporary TREATFEST since quitting. Enjoying food ALOT right now.

I'll get on the goal with you, too. 10 pounds. A start for sure. So that's my first goal. I'll weigh and measure on Saturday morning.

Good Fortune on your goal. I'll check in!

OK, lets share some tips..besides a fun house mirror! I use a lunchon plate for dinner. It looks like a full size plate when it has food on it but of course it has much less. I drink a lot of water. One glass before I eat helps. Since I am diabetic I don't do sugar (ok once in a while..) But I do like sugar free snacks. I have been eating salt free chips too. The problem is to create a good taste in the sugar and salt free..extra fat is added. be aware of that!
I took a short walk today (1/2 mile) the rain started again. I don't mess with that since Florida is the lightning capital of the U.S.

Oh I am in! We are going to Georgia for xmas, I would like to be down a bit by then :)
I have dropped like 10 pounds in the last month or so and my trick was to eat breakfast.. who woulda thought!

Also recently got a bike to run my dog with as she too needs to drop a few pounds before she gets bred. Plus we need to get in shape before the snow comes or taking out the sled is not gonna be as much fun as it should be.

When I first started vaping I lost weight..I was thrilled! I was within 7 lbs. of my body mass index! Then my meds changed..again! I don't even know why, my BP and Blood sugar was down! (After starting insulin). Now I have gained back way too much. The Dr. swears my insulin hike didn't cause weight gain...odd how much better I was before the hike. Scooby Doo we have some work to do!
Today it raining off and on so I guess I will do some stretching.

My tricks:
I do not count anything, I just watch my carbs (southbeach is a easy diet for this and you never go hungry)

When going to the store I park way out in the back forty and walk:)

I never use elevators when there are stairs, much easier to do now that I do not smoke.

If I crave something, I eat a small amount of the evil food and that takes care of the craving.

LOTS of H20 with crystal light added.

We eat out a lot, and I order wonderful salads and with the low carb diet you have many options if you are not a salad eater.
