Difference between the ZMax and Provari?

Yup.. or at least be on friendly terms with all the staff, and I usually do at least 20% of normal price, it's not the waiters that should suffer because of a special. (even through they put an automatic 18% on the bill when they run a special, I still add to it).
Most places that do that, I just accept their offer of 18% unless service is very good.

When my buddy is working, he comps the meals, which the waitstaff loves, since we tip the value of the meal. They make a killing. The restaurant is always busy, it is Michelin Guide rated and the staff know how to treat guests, as they are all graduates of one of the local hospitality schools

In Guatemala, the US owner of a bar / restaurant would hand me his keys and leave if we wanted to keep partying and he wanted to go home. All I had to do promise not to let anyone else in, write down what we drank and ate, tip his staff well and set the alarm and he was happy.

One time he hid me in the walk-in cooler and buried my buddy in pots and pans under a shelf because some boys from Argentina turned up outside with pistols to settle an argument. Funny thing was that they ended up being our best friends later on...

Those were the best days of my life.

I give 10% for crap service 15% for normal and 20% for great and then a extra $25 or $50 if holidays I don't even goto places that make me tip as it is my right to do so, 1 time I had the worst service ever and this was the only time I didn't tip was I sat down waited 10mins for water 25 to order and 15 for food that was cold and when I got my food I never seen my waiter again I ate some not much went to pay asked for the manager and complained, it wasn't even busy, never went back.

A trick I have is to leave an envelope addressed to the cleaning crew with their tip for the week on the first day. After that, extra towels, fruit baskets and chocolates in the room, comped laundry service, etc. Poor guy next door who didn't tip has a couple of wet towels and wet robes in his room.

Even in say, Vegas, you don't need to tip a crazy amount. Just give your server a $20 the first time, then top-up tips throughout, and finish with a biggie and they will remember.

Some may say that you shouldn't have to - and they are right and they will enjoy decent service, while my service will be awesome and make for a much better experience. It might cost me an extra $100 in tips over a period of a few days, but I personally enjoy the extra attention. I also like the fact that they may let me hide in the walk-in in case of emergencies.

The green is a better lubricant than noalox...

The other thing that most people don't realize, is that in most states, wait staff get less than minimum wage. With the theory that their tips will make take them up above minimum wage. The national tip min wage is 2.13 an hour, to put up with a demanding public that will stiff them half the time.

This sucks but be a good waiter and work at a decent place and that is not the case, I know since I know many waiters that change jobs for this reason.

Still, if your waiters are not making that, then they are a) really crap at their jobs or b) in a community full of English people.

Has anyone done side by side tests to confirm the provari is an upgrade? Some people say the provari is a better mod, some people says the twist is. I know they come very close, so this might end up becoming a complex discussion.

In the name of science, I think the ONLY way to determine which is better (ego twist vs. provari) would be to start a challenge. Here's the deal:

I will run over my ego twist , using a F-150 truck. I'm going to need SOMEONE to run over their provari, using an F-150, or vehicle of equal weight.

Who is up to the challenge?

Whichever mod has the most guts still attached to it wins

now, is that loaded with a ton of feathers, or a ton of bricks in it? Because I think they ought to be loaded the same way. And everyone knows feathers weigh less than bricks, so if one had a ton of feathers in it vs a ton of bricks, then it wouldn't be fair.

Main difference is the Provari is instant Nirvana while with the ZMAX you have to suffer through the reincarnation of countless inferior mods.

Now that I think about it, since the twist is smaller in cirumference than the provari, it is only fair if we use a model, R/C F-150 for the twist, an an actual F-150 for the provari. That should give me the results I'm looking for

I'll take that bet! My Provari has already surved a 40mph side impact collision that knocked it out of my hand and 50 yards down the pavement. Hardly a scratch on it and it fired right up. Outside of a lawnmower blade hitting it, Ive yet to see anything destroy a Provari.

For those asking for side-by-side comparisons, some things cant be translated well with words or pictures. You have to experience them for yourself to see.

There is a federal minimum wage, and then there are state overrides (as long as they aren't below the fed min wage). If the state doesn't expressly issue a minimum wage, then the federal minimum wage applies.
(yes, I used to program payroll for a restaurant chain... it's not like wage rules are a hobby)
