I have just recently started and have experienced that waxy sensation along with a bit of throat irritation. Not bad irritation just a bit scratchy throat. Im not sure what the cause is either. Since I am not vaping excessively yet, about a cart a day so far as I switch from analogs, I don't think it is over-use. May be something that passes on it's own as my body adjusts from analogs to vaping, could be coincidence being as I happened to start vaping at the begining of allergy season here, though I don't really have much in the way of allergies the higher pollen content can cause some sensitivity at times with irritation from post nasal drip. Could be I need to adjust the way I inhale as I am new to this. May be I need to cut the juice strength (11mg) with some of the non-nicotine juice since I have always smoked light anaogs. Could be I may not be tolerating the PG juice as well as I might VG (I just ordered the VG to try out too). May be a combination of factors....time will tell.
I will be a bit disappointed if it is a PG intolerance as the 2 flavors I am really enjoying the most (Rose & Cola flavors) I haven't found in the VG yet. I will probably still order more of the PG in those flavors even if this persists but use them sparingly.
On the issue with the dry, tight skin on your hands it may be that the nicotine is a bit drying either from contact with the vapor or accidental contact with the juice but I would think with some extra care to limit exposure or wash hands, a bit of lotion applied and making sure you are drinking enough water for healthy hydration such would resolve easily....minor magics. As for the waxy feeling I am resolvig such with more frequent attention to oral hygene (mouth wash & brushing teeth extra times a day) which is only going to serve to provide better dental health.
So far I am enjoying the experience immensely despite the minor issues I have experienced during the initial adjustment phase...and I would much rather deal with these minor things than continue to risk all the dangers, drawbacks and long term health effects that come with the analogs.
