I like it I have only vaped with the stock wick but it was pretty good until i scorched it. Wasnt thinking when switching from one of my high res atties back to the A7.
I'll probably go out and pick up some cotton tomorrow and get it all set back up. just trying to decide if i want to grab some rounds or yarn.
I like the cotton rounds from dollar tree that Mack shows on page 3 of this thread. The secret to using them is to twist them first so they won't pull apart. Just lightly roll and then twist without allowing your hands to put any stretching force and it won't pull apart on you. Dollar tree also has a dandy pair of tweezers that are well worth the price if you don't have some already.

I am pretty much near ready to pick up some peaches and cream from wally world. I've seen it and it looks really useful. Lots of people reporting success with it. I'm currently using Lion Brand organic cotton yarn that I picked up from Amazon.

Looks like these are dyed though. Won't the white be dyed as well?
This is correct. It is bleached - - NoT dyed. I make my living (such as it is) in textiles.
Think undies....they are white when you take them out of the package. After a time the color starts to dull / change. That is because every time you wash them, the bleach is being washed away - little by little. As stated here in ECF, boil your wicking material very well. I would never purchase a colored wicking material because it contains dye. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to boil away the dye. They make dye lifters, but those are a bleaching material.
Bleach is found in most drinking water and is considered safe when consumed in small amounts. The amount of bleach consumed on a wick, after is has been boiled, would be minimal. That is why I use cotton for my wicking material. Hope this helps a little.
PS - the bright white, which almost hurts your eyes to look at it, most likely contains bluing. And bluing is a blue dye. If you get something that has been treated with bluing don't panic. Boil it well and it should remove 99.9999% of the bluing. Bluing contains a diluted / weak blue dye which has minimal retention and is mainly used for 'show', as in "See how White this is!" Boil it

Well i have the peaches and cream and the dollar tree rounds, and the rounds are my favorite. The yarn gives a funny taste and it is the same distinctive taste no matter what juice used with but the rounds is clean and i dont taste anything odd. What i been doing is wrapping my coil around a toothpick then cut my round and split it in 2 so it isnt as thick. Pull the coil off the toothpick and feed the round rolled through simple and fast.
Same basic method I use, except with a needle. I use metal so I can pull the coil tighter and is easier to slide out.
Also if your yarn has a funny taste, have you done a burn test on it? I have some cotton twine that says 100% cotton that tasted weird later to do a burn test to find synthetic fibers.
You are using a nail if i remember, i couldnt find a nail thick enough and saw a tooth pick which looked of perfect size plus everyone has them in there home.
Nope, it's a thick sewing needle which is about the same exact size as a tooth pick. I have been collecting needles of all sorts of thickness for different coils. I wasn't telling you what to do by the way, didn't mean it to sound that way.
You mentioned vapor, but how's the flavor with this method?
Clean deliscious vapor, about as clean of flavor as I have experienced with out of all wick types.
