You guys are too cute! :) Thanks, though - I think... ;)

Taryn, I did try it several times. No real science, but I tossed them on the balance and was between 12 and 19% [n=5] under-filled [by weight] compared to a hand-fill + Taryn Spin. I haven't tried any alternative improvements mentioned, other than Spinning and then hand filling to completion [by weight]. There are definite improvements that can be made to the method, but I fear they may counter the time and effort savings.

I think it's an outstanding compromise to dripping. If your cartomizer is half full, then this method should fill it very close to complete. That's my next pseudo-test.

Would this method work with the ....-plugs in?

I think it wouldn't work very well. You'd just be forcing a large air-bubble ahead of it, which would apply counter-pressure to the fluid, which is largely incompressible - the same property that makes it work without the plug on the other side.

Consider pouring fluid from a can that doesn't have an air-hole in it. It's the polar opposite effect.

Wow - I've been waxing excessive in this thread. Sorry. Summary: Not very well at all.

Totally OT: Incidentally the math mentioned above is nearly identical to the really tough tie-breaking question I wrote last year when I proctored the state finals High School Physics Lab for Science Olympiad. Bernoulli and transferring fluid from one syringe to another. Only one student out of 20+ even made a serious attempt at the problem. He correctly answered it, and unforeseen to me: The extra points were worthless to him. He had such a high score on the rest of my test (and lab) that he didn't even need it to win. He ended-up going on to Nationals. I didn't hear how he did...

i LOVE this method, because i usually fill at night and it takes. so. long. to do a batch.

my question is, though... what about the o-ring that's in the mouthpiece end? wouldn't it be a good idea to still pop the mouthpiece off sometimes to clean that and the o-ring out? i have four carts i'm going to give this a try with. we'll see if it works for me! i hadn't seen this link before, so thank you for sharing!

After a spin, I popped the caps open to see if any liquid is still caught by the rubber o-ring. Nope. All dry there. The Taryn spin forced all the liquid into the batting.

I even showed my GF how to do this as well, and she never ever refills a single carto. I always have to do it for her. Now she can refill her own. =)

And it vapes really well immediately afterwards too!

When I was watching that video I was thinking...Looks like a good way to flood a carto. After she took a drag I was wondering...How much juice ended up in her mouth? I'll give it a try though, and hopefully be surprised.

lol, no liquid in my mouth... but it can happen sometimes if you are a bit over-zealous on the first puff.

All I can say is WOW....Just filled two fresh carts this way. Perfecto!
Thanks Dogsbody!!!

No probs!

Glad everyone likes it.

I have only been using cartos for the last week, and use three in rotation, filling them like this (about 17 drops) about 3-5 times a day each and have not had any problems at all, they vape up a storm!

A new cart will take a full cap of PG slightly less for VG.

Cartos rock! I cant believe I didn't get on to them sooner.

If I new the CCFM would have created this much interest, I would've made a much better video.

Just refilled 20 freshly cleaned and some new carts. Most took about 3/4 of a cap first round and the about 1/4 to 1/2 cap post spin. Probably about 30 to 40 drops worth out of the 5ml bottles. Took about a half hour as I was being careful not to spill and was wiping and cleaning juice off as I went. But hey, I'm set for the week and they are filled much more than I could dripping.
