"I get bubbles with my 22s, but they don't bug me. The only time they are an issue is when there is a huge bubble and I need to refill. If you don't get rid of the bubbles, it reduces the amount of liquid you can fit into the tank. Not a big deal, really."

I have always tilted my Siren's on their sides to refill (like pouring a can of soda into a glass) and have had no problems with bubbles on refilling and lost juice capacity. It's when it's capped off and I'm vaping it that the bubbles appear, but like I said, not really any problem, just an observation is all.

Thanks for the tilt tip. I'll try it the next time I fill it.

The trapped air only tends to be a nuisance on the 22s when filling (I have noticed)

Using a standard mix of 70pg/30vg usually, it`s not exactly gloopy but does slow things down occasionally when trying to fast fill*

I now always try to refill when the atomiser is still warm - it seems to help as the liquid runs a little more freely - at a 45 degree angle as mentioned by 52anddone.

*Fill time is ideally ~15 seconds from cap off to cap back on (ie: TopTank as a baseline measurement)
30 seconds isn`t unusual with the Sirens due to their poor top cap threading, then the tissue wipe-off etc....

..anything longer, then there`s raised eyebrows, cursewords, heavy sighs of total exasperation and everything.

Tough audience here, you know ;)

You guys seem to have all your trix. I've relented, and just carry a vapor towel with me, or better yet, one wrapped around the tank.

I give up. Random leaky is the name of this tank's game.

Wish list for the new Siren 22mm:
Take notes Digiflavor if you're reading this :).

1- One more air hole, maybe two. One should be half of the smallest one, and one should be 1/3.
2- A detachable build deck with proper sealing.
3- A little more space between the glass and the chamber on the 22mm, bubbles keep build up and I don't like playing the bubble game.
4- Maybe some airflow inserts like the Kayfun V5 if they're generous.
5- Shorter 510 connection, the Siren’s 510 is rather long.
6- A more coarse threading for the top cap, it takes a while for the threads to catch.

The Siren is a good tank, add those suggestions and I think it would be THE best mtl tank.

#1 and #3 were also going to be my recommendations as well and basically the only things that make this the ideal tank for me. I would also prefer a shorter 2-3ml version; MTL doesn't burn through a lot of juice and shorter tanks just look much nicer.

It shouldn`t have to be this way - I`m becoming more convinced that the wicking design is to blame here.
(I cant imagine it could be anything else)

I can do a fairly quick and careless build on a Toptank RTA and it will perform well for about 3 days, that`s without ANY need to mess about, change or fiddle with anything.
Not to mention never needing a tissue or wash my hands when filling every. single. time.

What makes me laugh (& cry) is these 'reviewers' that just shove any old bit of cotton into the wicking slots (of any atomiser)
and lo and behold - it works !

I could do the same and of course it would work.....but for how long ?

What I want to know is whether they can leave that build intact and continue vaping without any issues at all....for hours, or even days !

I suspect adjustments must be made often [and likely full rebuilds] in many cases.

I have been testing out 2.5mm coils recently and HAVE noticed that the chances of leakage are more likely than when I was using 3mm coils with more rayon wick.
I still must really stuff those wick holes quite full to prevent a) worst case full on leakage and b) best case annoying gurgle + slow seepage.

Some builds work just great for a couple of days with minimal intervention, yet some fail within minutes and it`s not always visually obvious that the wicking is incorrect.
You can`t see the wick become dislodged once the chamber is on and the act of putting the tank together can potentially move the wick
(ie: drag the wick tails down as the chamber is screwed down and potentially make it touch the "oil film"/diffuser)
The more packed in the slots it is, the easier it is to become disturbed by the act of screwing on.

It`s certainly the most annoying thing about the Sirens for me, that`s for sure :glare:

The Siren wick holes are too big - and you can quote me on that (or use it as my epitaph)

Well said, Fad, and I agree on each point. It's a finicky lil thang, yet here we are, still using (and 'loving') it, and talking about it all these 2000+ posts later!

Strangely leakless in Kali (at least for today)~

I`ve only just noticed that post count down there now I looked for it - I must pay more attention in class.

I haven`t got much choice in persevering since I threw everything else away :)

Partly joking of course as I kept back my 8 Frankenstein Toptanks that I used exclusively for the previous 18 months+
but I knew this had potential and wanted it to work..and work well.

The niggles are one thing but the annoying uncertainty with the seepage is certainly another.

Wildy paraphrasing someone from another forum, they said (something to the effect of)

"I`ve never had a problem free atty - we just use those which problems we can tolerate the best"

I just wanted to check in and let everyone that has a refund coming from Fogitup.com know that my refund has just shown up on my CC statement, -$26.95 (that's for (1) Siren), dated April 10, the same day that I received the refund notice in my email from Fogitup.

My FogItUp money has been credited too! Yay!
