myvpro has the pre-order for the Siren 22 up [Special Pre-Order]Siren GTA MTL Tank 22 by DigiFlavor [Estimated available date: June 8]

I moved on, since I could never be consistent enough with the wicking, and I hated losing 4ml of juice so often.

I'm kwite pleased to see these making the scene again, for those who love them.

Like you, jefs, I've SORT of moved on, or at least put them on the back burner. When they worked "well" (random!) they still gas guzzled a tankful in no time.

    No likey.

I did rewick one today, for future use, and actually discussed the matter with DPL. We're both not sure that even a 4mm coil would provide the needed space for wicking in the mega channels!

Nailz, humour me. How does one tighten the positive block? I know I've not given much time to this tank, but with a coil in it, the only moving part I see is the bottom pin. Go slowly and talk to me like I'm 3, please.

I'm interested in pics of what screwdriver you've used to loosen the positive pin also! I hope I haven't damaged the inside of my Sirens trying to _fix_ them.

And maybe pics of the cake too. Love cake.

Okay cake is done, my wife makes me a awesome homemade chocolate caramel cookie cake every year, wish I could clone it into a ejuice

Anyway, siren positive pin tighten, hard to get pics of the pin, but done the best I can, so 1st unscrew the 510 pin and take out the pin and insulator, don't really need to take out the insulator, but think makes a little easier and less likely to lose if take out yourself than falling out.

Once you've taken the 510 pin out, you will see the gold/brass the 510 screws into in, that is also a screw, which holds the positive block, you can't get a screwdriver onto it properly, but if look around the edge will see a cut out you can get a screwdriver onto, I did not take out my builds when doing this, but did have my finger over the top of the positive block till I had it properly tightened up.

Hopefully can see from this picture, but did a red arrow, so can see what I mean about the cut out to get a screw driver onto.

Hope that helps you out @Katdarling :)

Too late on the cake, already gone :w00t:

I just used a 3mm screwdriver, just got it into the slot on one side and tightened as much as I could, and did turn about half of a turn, but as said, been bone dry since I did it, but I have only tried it on 1 of my sirens, all my others are at my home in KS, so can't say if just a fluke on this one or not.

Wow, Nailz, thank you. Yes, your pics are marvelously clear! I was able to unscrew the pin, and remove the insulator.

The next part baffles me tho. I think it's that I have no screwdriver that's the appropriate size, so mine SORT of catches the groove (with the red arrow in your pic), but then it just nose dived straight down. I do believe there was no feeling of it being loose at all tho.

Alas. A modder's modder, I am NOT. I put the insulator and pin back in, and thought..... wow, I'm hungry! That cake looks good!

    Hopelessly yours~

It is a bit tricky to get the screwdriver to bite, found around 2.5-3mm works best, but you can't go straight down with it, or otherwise as you said goes in the hole, so have to sort of go in at a angle.

I have to pry out that insulator so I can get my screw driver in there to tighten that center post, and I also have to go at an angle to get the screw driver to bite on that center post screw. They must have a dedicated 3-prong type of bit to tighten that center post at the factory that we don't have access to here in the real world. On my 2 Siren's (one a 25mm and one a 22mm) that I have so far fixed, I have found one was a quarter turn loose and the other was about one eighth turn loose.
