Every time "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", "Hang'um High", "For a few Dollars more", "A fist full of Dollars" comes on cable, my wife groans and walks out of the room. Those are Classics.:thumbs::thumb:

Best theme song ever (as @Katdarling likes to remind me).

To say that this thread is De-railed is an understatement, it's flat jumped the tracks.

We don't need no silly tracks when we've got marvelous vids like this one! LOVED that, 5-2.

LET'S RIDE!!!!!!!!!

I'm running that 3.5mm coil that was talked about earlier a few pages back. I have a piece of KGD with a width of 11/12 mm (non-peeled) inside my 5 wrap 28g Kanthal A-1 coil getting 1.06Ω firing at 10 watts/93°C/xxx 12.5/3.2 volts on my HΩ G2. I'm on my 5th tank full of Menthol/Mint and see a noticeable decrease in dampness from around the air flow ring. I see this, so far, as an overall improvement. Further time will tell. I do wipe that air flow ring off at every tank fill-up, just a habit I've gotten into over these many months of use with my Siren 22mm, but when I do go to adjust the air flow inbetween fillups the ring is drier than usual (almost Bone dry as a matter of fact). So maybe a larger coil diameter is what's needed in these Siren's, like 3.5mm or even 4mm (the deck certainly can handle that large of a coil).

and ALL because of those Big ol' wick slots in the deck. I have found that unless I add EXTRA wick material in the wick slots, then it looks like I will need to run a 3.5mm Minimum I.D. coil in my Siren's. I have yet to try a 4mm coil in it, but I think that there is room (with single strand wire) if I try with 28g Kanthal and 5 wraps, but I think a 6 wrap 4mm coil will still be under 2.00Ω. All these coils used are spaced ones, and a 5 wrap 3.5mm spaced coil spans the air defuser perfectly so as to get air to every coil loop.

EDIT: If I would have been sharp enough, I would have figured this out 100 pages ago for ya'll and saved a lot of time, but, Old People, what can I say.;)

You figured out plenty 52, and we've all benefitted by what you learned and shared!

Siren 22 with Ikonn total mod ..
really liking the size given that it takes the Siren 22 perfectly (which is actuality a 23mm tank) ..

Single 18650 mech mod with basic safety features.

Included a comparison photograph next to the aspire nx100 mod also with a Siren 22

I have however added a heat sink now, this is after shooting the photos here. The heat sink has helped align the air holes better to the window on both sides of the mod.

I just had to re-coil my Siren :grr:. I had a 3.5mm 28g Kanthal coil in there with KGD, which for 10 re-fills ran flawlessly, and DRY :D. That is, till I decided to trim the wick up a bit to allow more juice in the tank, after which I started getting that familiar juicy air flow ring syndrome all over again. Crap-O-La , back to the drawing board. NOTE TO SELF: when things are going 'Good', RESIST the urge to make them go 'Gooder'. This time I am trying a 4mm 28g. Kanthal coil and again with KGD. We shall see how this works out. This 4mm 28g. coil has more than enough room on either side of it to comfortably clear the wire posts on the Siren's deck if anyone's wondering. I am still using the same 5 wrap design as I did with my 3.5mm coil, but am getting 1.45Ω instead of the 1.06Ω previously. With the 3.5mm coil I cut a piece of KGD that was 9mm wide, and with this 4mm coil I cut a piece of KGD that is 11mm wide. We Shall See How This build Goes. When I was running a 3mm coil I could Always count on getting 21 re-fills thru my 22mm Siren before I had to re-coil/re-wick, I would run it down to where I had only approx. .6ml of juice left in the tank when I would re-fill. That comes out to using 3.6ml of juice each tank.

Sounds frustrating! Good luck![emoji4]
