Again, nice work, you too 'slin'. I'm curious how the filler ring does it job w/ a wider diameter syringe. It's just the right size for my 3ml but would think the wider diameter would let fluid around it. I know they're tapered, maybe that's how?

I didn't use the filler ring, I just cut slots on ego plug. Its the same size as filler ring. They just fit perfect on ceramic cup.

dont use the stock filler ring... in the pic, (and previous post), it's the eGO carto condom, it's bigger and fits inside the 6ml (or 5ml) syringe like it was made for this... I put the wick slits (hehe, sounds like a good name for a band?) on it and cut out the center... it fits right over the ceramic cup and plugs like a good plug should

Look at this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/141486-my-versions-storminytes-syringe-mod.html and theres more info there too

I have a dumb question. Is this syringe mod worth doing on the rev3 (I think rev 3, not too sure) cartos? I have 20 rev3's with the glue or silicone that I purchased back in august.

Most certainly. I've done a couple of 3xls and a v1 regular along with several v4s.

So you used a cap from a 3ml bottle for the cap inside the syringe over the cup? Did you drill the end out to fit over the cup?

stormi... that does look like a bottle cap now that you mention it, but it's actually the silicone cover from an ego mega carto… big fat sucker. I checked out one of mine and they do fit snugly in – I can see how it should work.

I'm experimenting with "do nothing". I fill my 5ml tank every morning and I won't clean or dry burn, or anything else except for filling the tank until it falls over dead,,, So far this has been going just fine for 2 weeks now (but that's not very long yet). I will find out (one day) how long this approach lasts. but I don't like monkeying around with the stuff all the time. I got 5 months on my 510 attys with this same method and only lost one to cruded up coil. The other 4 still work fine. I'm happy with that, so if the C-E2s go anywhere near that long,,, cool. The thing I love about the C-E2s and a large clear tank is that the taste is the same, every time. No burnt taste, no flooded attys, no dripping, no cart filler,, just consistent taste, time after time.

Well now I know how long I can go without doing anything but refill. 75mls of just fill and vape. yesterday it started to taste crappy, by mid-day I had to clean it. A 5 min. boil in tap water and one hell of a dry burn. Ahhh all is right with the world once again.

Gummy... so now we know, recycle at 75ml - don't know that I'll wait that long, but at least I know I can put it off a day if needed!! Thanks for the info.

I just made one myself and it's great! Man, the vapor production is awesome. I used a reg size 510 R4 2.5. I only used the center plug when I put it togther (but will leak if laid on its side). That's all I use on the reg carto anyway. I use a drip tip to top it off. I don't get why it's so much better than an unmodded one but I ain't complaining.

I was getting dry spots about every third or fourth toke with a reg one and I had the slits indexed so I could tilt it to keep the top of the wicks wet. This one hasn't done it yet and it's almost empty. Damn amazing that is.

Where can I find the sticky paper for a good price so I can wrap it to leave a window to see the juice level?

Thanks for the great idea storminyte!

:)

Not a dumb question! I only have one R4 because I had so many R3's to start with, you can't even tell the difference in the mod. The changes had to do with the black sleeve but I sure don't see any other difference. I'm trying to use the old ones up before I get into the R4's but they last forever? I haven't lost any yet, although I thought I did once but it musta been playing possum! Cleaned it and it fired up and is still running.

Well I just ordered my syringes. Looking forward to making one.
I hope you don't mind me asking a cleaning question here. I have boiled and tried soaking in alcohol. When dry I still have a black crust type material where the wick goes thru the coil, I have tried scraping it off while dry burning, and I broke the wire. It's now dead of course. Is there an easier way to get the wick white again?
