An atomizer and/or clearomizer are on my list of last ditch effort to get this to work for me. Another person here suggested Vision Clearomizers but a half dozen others warned me about a problem with burnt taste from them. So I don't know wth to do or what to get or even where for that matter. LOL

Check out that link I gave you in my last post. Trust me I've tried just about everything on the market in the last 2 1/2 years and for convience and flavor the Vision 2 or Kanger T2 are very good and work great on a Kgo.

My opinion...

Go buy a pack and smoke.

YOU will FIND a setup when you want to quit. To me, no money in the world spent on vaping supplies means more to me then my health...

I'm sorry but that's just lame. Your basically telling me I don't want it to work because I don't want to quit smoking. Tell me something...does ANYONE here reeeeeally want to quit smoking? Given the chance to continue smoking WITHOUT health problems and you can bet everyone would be smoking cig again.

And btw, if your health was so important to you, you would never have smoked in the first place. So don't lecture me on money and health.

i been vaping for a couple of years.. i remember that day when i'm so frustrated with the setup i have (at that point it is somewhere about close to a year) i sell my ecig stic style, other pv's i have, carto, (no tanks and provari yet invented i think at that time) and mostly everything.. i went back to analog and it last me just a week as im smoking like 2 - 3 packs a day more than i use to have analogs.. So i started to think that i maybe too far much smoking now.. a fellow vapor from LA comes over to the office and we talk about it.. he mention that try dripping at that time mostly LR attys.. So i bought a VV back again and drip using atty's then i started to back to vaping. Now since then i never look back, amazingly new product develop and vaping experience is already in the next level so i find that i have the right setup BUT on the way of experimenting or trying new product sometime we find some product just does not match what we want. If you have the will to quit analogs basicly trial and error a few product and eventually you get the right one. Yes maybe some people jewels are no the same as ours but only we know what is best for us..Slowly but surely.

no, bought the Boge cartos everyone recommended. It came with cartos that were almost tasteless no matter how much juice went in...but at least the didn't taste like metal. lol

While it's great that you've read up on everything and tried all the different filling techniques, etc, you've really only tried one juice delivery system, the Boge carto. Doesn't matter how many people recommended it. I've tried numerous cartos and atomizers recommended by people here which did not work well for me. In fact, cartos in general do not work well for me, which is why I use atomizers and drip tips. Do not assume that because many people recommended one particular device and that device doesn't work well for you, that others will not work better.

I would suggest trying something else, either atty dripping or a different brand of carto. That, or you can give up and smoke instead. It depends on how much you want to quit smoking.

So far as the up front cost of buying components you end up not liking, it's part of the process until you find stuff you do like. In the long run, vaping is considerably less expensive than smoking. Which is just another added benefit.

Either way, just be aware that your experience of not liking the first thing you try is not unique. The first e-cig I bought was pretty terrible. Such stories are very common. And in fact, not getting the right hardware or juice is probably the single biggest reason why people give up on e-cigs and go back to smoking. No one knows how many would have been successful had they persisted. I persisted past my original bad hardware and so-so tasting liquid and I've been off cigs for well over 2 years now.

Your health. Your money. Your choice.

Thank you to all of you for your words of wisdom. <3 I'm sorry to be such a downer...just been so disappointed. I really did think after all my research on forums and youtube that yeah, getting the KGO/Boge cartos and juice I liked, it was a done deal...I was set. Hence my severe disappointment after 6 weeks of all this trouble, all this work and trying so very hard to MAKE it work for me. I WILL quit smoking. Cigs taste horrible, I don't even LIKE the taste but like everyone else, I'm addicted to them. Even with all the problems I've had for 6 wks now, I went from smoking a pack a day to 2. Whether it's with vaping or cold turkey, I am quitting smoking. Vaping with the minimart ecig just made it almost painless, which is why I assumed (silly me) that a good setup would be the same.

I have that (probably)same kgo starter(saw your mention of Dark City-got mine from him too!) and chose the smoke tech XL 1.7 cartos to add on. That said, my first fill was on the cartos in the kgo box(no idea what they are)...first fill was all fine and dandy. Next fill, new flavor just randomly on a smoke tech and a MESS! Bad taste, pain in the rear, etc....figured it was me....did some you tube research on the system itself and filling(kind folks here can correct me) but PBusarto(?sp)has some great vids. Tried a different of the Smoke Techs and success! Cleaned that first trouble maker -tried to refill again and still a non functioning pain! In the trash with that and one other! Now-who's to say my problems arent my fault(they prob are lol!)but just maybe your Boges were amiss and irritation added to the situation. Try some smoke tech's -they're working well for me and I've since ordered(and so far love)the stardust clearo despite reading that some have problems with them. I know budgets are what they are-but I really do like the kgo and hope you find something that works for you with it. I've just been at this a little over a week but am so far thrilled with my first choice of equipment (and the condom method works the best for me when filling the cartos! Thanks YouTube!). Good luck -hope you find your happily vaper after.

1) We ALL have hardware problems with these stupid things until we get a combo that works for us.
2) 1/2 of what you are coughing up is probably garbage left over from smoking. It can take a few months to get over the "system clean out" after quitting.
3) Dripping with an atty (like some others have said) is the least-hardware-problem why to vape. So it's a good idea to have an atty or two around just as a fall back plan.
4) It's carto crap shoot right now. And even if we recommend one, they could have problems (like boge is reported to be having). Even the CE2's I'm using can have feed/wicking issues, paperclip adjustment or not. E-cigs still take too much effort IMO. But they are worth it to give up the smokes.

Good Luck. Hang in there. You WILL get over it. Keep trying.

I agree, you should try dripping. I'd suggest a couple of 510 attys around 2.0 ohms, a drip tip, drip shield and two 510 shorty extensions, one sealed and one not. The reason for the two shortys is because they effect the draw and one might be perfect for you and the other terrible. If you vape and drive much you might want a couple resurrecter 1.7 cartos so you aren't trying to drip behind the wheel.

If you goto the Pay It Forward section you will find many members willing to give these kind of items away to members in your exact situation. Don't hesitate to take advantage of any help offered there, its the whole purpose of PIF. We all needed help getting it figured out and that is one way we pay it back.

Yes, I wanted to quit. I hated that I smoked and tried everything I could to quit and couldn't. Smoking disgusted me. I disgusted myself. Tried gum, pills, patches, books the works. I never started vaping to quit, I was around someone dying from cigarettes that had to quit. The first time I vaped, I realized that there was a possibility with vaping that I might be able to. So it was worth it to hang in there.

Anything worth doing is hard, it really is. This isn't as easy as picking up a pack of smokes. Anyone that says it is lies. It can be a big pain, but worth it. Trying to lose the 20 lbs I packed on trying to unsuccessfully quit smoking was hard too. You just have to decide if it's worth it to you. And it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you if it doesn't work out for you. According to an informal poll here about 80% of people that vape quit smoking. So it's not 100%. But knowing that 80% of people were able to helped me hang in there. I have people in my family that tried vaping and it didn't work out for them. I hope one day they'll give it another shot.

. . . I'm just tired of throwing my money away.

maryliz, I know you're incredibly frustrated and rightfully so. But keep in mind that if you go back to cigs, you'll be throwing your money away also.

I would suggest giving the Vivi Nova tank a try. It's bigger in diameter than the KGO, and it might look a little funky on it to you (it doesn't bother me), but it works great for me.

Don't give up. When (not if) you find what works for you, you'll be glad you stuck with it.

Edited to add: Also think about spending $22 or so on an Ego Twist. I have a KGO and I like it, But until I got my Apollo VTube, I didn't realize how great it is to have variable voltage so I can crank the voltage up or down to where ever it needs to be for the juice and the carto/tank/clearo I'm using.

...Between the cartos tasting like metal, coughing more than I ever did with cig and a few dozen other problems, it's just been such a let down I can't believe it. I really thought this would be the thing to finally help kick smoking. Too bad it wasn't. :(

All is Not Lost...

Quitting Analogs can be Tough. But you can't quit until you start. And it sounds like you have started. Good.

I know this Forum has a Bunch of People who say that they took One Hit off and e-Cigarette and never Smoked an Analog again. I think that is Great.

But there are also a Ton of People, myself included, who had a Very Hard Time quitting.

Hey maybe I missed it.

What mg e-Liquid are you using? And what PG to VG Ratio are you using?
