This is my second round with vaping. The first was in early 2011. I was able to quit analogs for 2 mos but made the mistake of having the occasional smoke with others. Since I'm an all or none kind of gal, didn't take long before balance was tipped and I was smoking more than vaping, then eventually only smoking again. On November 4, 2012 I had my last analog. Haven't had even a puff of an analog as I know it would repeat the previous pattern.

First time around I advanced through the usual stages from skinny 510's and 808's to the more satisfying equipment. I currently have a Provari, an eVic (my fav), an eGo VV and a spinner. I mostly use vivi nova minis, some nano visions and my new favorite tank, the splitfire. I'm finally very happy with my delivery systems :)

For the last few months, I've tried oodles of juice samples, in search of the right ones for me. Ideally I'd like to have 4 or 5 to rotate for variety. I've found two of them, Mister E's Pure Michigan Ice and ECBlends Dragon's Milk. Everything else (probably over 100 samples) just didn't cut it. I've come to the conclusion that I'm a picky vapor...lol

So...I'm now moving on to DIY and am open to any suggestions by you guys :) I've ordered 48mg nic juice (which I'll cut to 24mg for base) and few flavors (Apple, strawberry, cinnamon, horchata, sweet cream, Bavarian cream, almond amaretto, menthol, sweetener). I'm thinking it might be better to fine tune my flavor with zero nic in small 3-5 ml batches and then make the real thing. I generally prefer 18mg 70pg/30vg or 80pg/20pg. I'm just going to start with 1 or 2 flavor recipes. Is that a logical approach or is it better to use the nic juice from the start. In other word, will it significantly change the flavor.

The Vape Book
Here is a recipe book you can get some from(some in video form) to try new flavors.I DIY myself but i do have my MUST haves from Halo.Generally if i am mixing a juice i am not sure of i would much rather waste it on the PG,and NOT the nic. itself.I have four, one dram vials and four, two dram vials i use for that with plug tops. You can get by and only use up a very small amount of PG,or VG using these, you only want a small amount for a test run anyway and these work out great for me.I generally keep the bottles for juices i have mixed and like and i will always mix at least one 50ml of a flavor that i like and eventually becomes part of my rotation of juices.Very important:ALWAYS take notes,or make a log of what you mixed to keep so you will be able to go back and recreate the mix/mixes(even if they tasted bad,you can always go back and try and make a vapable juice out of it). This is what works for me and how i do it.

Excellent tips - thanks! Especially the notes - I think I'll start a journal. Where do you get your dram bottles with stoppers? Amazon has them with cork stoppers but not sure it they have the best price.

Ecigexpress.com .99 for the 1 dram and 1.99 for the 2 dram.
