Hi folks,

I've been vaping for a few years now and would like to take the step into the world of DIY.

Having watched a few YouTubers I've decided I would like to mix my juice by weight. 10ml per time and I understand there will be a lot of trial and errors as I go.

I am led to believe that Nude Nicotine is a very good and "clean" nicotine solution to use but is there something on the same level here in the UK?

My issue is that I have an annoying intolerance to PG. The juices I vape contain a small amount of PG, within the flavourings only, but is it true that most concentrates have PG?

The small selection of juices I Vape are:

1. Vape Kitchen - Banana Milk Candy 3mg Nic and 99% VG
2. The Cloud Company - Sky 3mg Nic and Max VG (Suicide Bunny say this is a 90% VG juice)
3. The Cloud Company - Revel 3mg Nic and Max VG (As above)
4. True Vape - Midnight Blueberry 3mg Nic (I add an extra flavour shot) No PG at all
5. True Vape - Lemon Drop 3mg Nic (As above)

The two juices from The Cloud Company are used with a dripper but are not used regularly as they too can dry my throat out, even with drinking loads.

PG seems to give me a dry scratchy throat that if I use continuously just gives me a sore and painful throat. I've tried various juices to see if it was maybe the flavourings but anything I try with a higher PG content gives the same result.

I am concerned about what Nicotine to buy and also the VG brand I should buy as well as the flavourings.

Capella, Flavour Art, The Perfumers Apprentice?? Where the heck do I begin.

If someone has the time, patience and experience to offer any advice and point me in the right direction I would be very grateful. I know getting the foundations such as Nicotine and type of VG are important so I don't want to make a mistake from the off.

Thanks for reading my essay lol

howdy - and welcome!

personally, i have, up to now, used nude nicotine nic base (a first time customer can get a 15ml free sample by just paying shipping in vg/ pg blend of choice) - excellent quality nic, but a little spendy unless you catch one of their coupon codes... i buy the 100mg nic base concentrate (to make 480ml of 3mg juice requires 14.4ml nic base plus flavors and vg/ pg)... i have heard excellent feedback about MFS (myfreedomsmokes nic base as well as nicotine river (have some of that in freezer in my 'stash' along with a good bit of the nude nic)

i use all three of the flavor vendors you mentioned along with flavor west - bullcityvapor is my go-to for smaller amounts of flavors i want to test, for larger amounts, i go directly to TFA (The Flavor Apprentice - same as Perfumers Apprentice), Flavor West... for bulk Capella, i have been using Nicotine River (Capella's site prices are jacked) or BullCityVapor...

I get my PG from Tractor Supply (USP grade) and my VG from Essential Depot

I am going to tag @Sir2fyablyNutz , he has a great collection of resource links that will help

and keep asking questions :)

Man... you certainly could do with some help. :)

I can't offer that, as I am not knowledgeable enough about certain things (VG base). There are other UK forums where you might be able to get some better leads.

Incidentally, when you say True Vape, do you mean TruVape or ichorliquid?

Most concentrates I have used were/are PG based, yes. I am sure Capella is, and almost as sure about Flavour Art.

Try AAEC or UKVapers.

The first suggestion is to find a few recipes you want to make and make a list of ingredients. Clones are probably the best way to start.
