I usually add the sweet cream at 2-3%
2-4% for me. I really like the CAP Sweet Cream. Kind of has a slight coconut background.
TFA Vanilla Swirl is my favorite.
I rarely use anything else besides these two, and add at least a touch into everything.
3-4%I have TFA Vanilla Swirl but I haven't mixed much with it yet. What % do you mix that at?
3-4%
Creams, vanillas and sweetners are usually 'supporting' flavors and I usually use them in the 2-4% range.
The primary flavor often in the 6-10% range.
A secondary flavor often ~4%.
Guys - I'm starting with mixing and have hit a wall. I steeped several variations of all CAP vanilla custard / French vanilla / Bavarian cream / sweet cream for a total of about 15% of the batch to always come out with a weird medicine taste. Steeped for well over three weeks in some variation of the above and always the same harsh bland medicine taste. Has anyone experienced same? Maybe I am not steeping properly? I am trying to go for that addictive rich custards taste but keep coming up blank and always that medicine taste just lingers ugh. Thanks in advance !
Well, after paying all the bills and buying all the groceries, I then went on a flavor-buying spree at Bullcity.
Got these 5 Capellas, thanks in part to this thread:
Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble
Cinnamon Danish Swirl V2
Hazelnut V2
New York Cheesecake
Sweet Cream
(already got Sweet Cream and used a lot of it -- great stuff!)
Plus these -- already almost finished my first bottles of the DX Bavarian Cream and the Shisha Strawberry -- both excellent! Plus a couple others I thought I'd try out:
Vanilla Bean Gelato-TFA
DX Bavarian Cream-TFA
Shisha Bilberry-INW
Shisha Strawberry-INW

Did you do any good with the creamsicle? I am getting closer to a really good mix. What I have now is good but could be better. A bit of the CAP sweet tangerine helps.Happy to help. I think it's their sugar cookie that does the same thing. Too much and it goes bitter. Don't quote me on that though - I THINK it's sugar cookie, might be cupcake, can't remember.
Right now I'm trying to get Creamsicle to cooperate.![]()
How did your cinnamon Danish swirl turn out?
here is my hodgepodge recipe using the innacurate drops method.
30 ml batch
60 drops CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl
25 drops CAP Vanilla Custard
30 drops CAP Sweet Cream
15 drops Stevia
And 30 drops 100mg/ml nicotine.
The balance of the bottle with 40PG/60VG.
I like it a lot.

Ohh wow! nothing like red hots to me at all just very much like a cinnamon danish well a cinnamon crumble danish to be more exact. The crumble from the graham cracker? flavor?I didn't care for it; it tastes like cinnemaldehyde (redhots) cinnamon, which just tastes like metal to me -- ditto the blueberry cinnamon crumble.
I've got some of the TFA DX version now, along with some TFA Cinnamon Spice because the TFA DX Cinnamon Danish just tastes like acetyl pyrazine to me... but I haven't tried it yet. I've grown complacent and lazy, with my strawberry & cream.
