Sounds good to me! Is this because the wire used and how the coil is wrapped is better than the original? Sorry, but this question has been bugging me for a while and I finally had to ask :laugh:

From my experience (particularly with the knockoff vivi I have, my own coils I can make to my taste. SO not so tight they choke off wicking and cause dry hits. I can control the quality of the wick. I can pre fire the wire before wrapping the coil (the lighter stuff you see in Vaporladys video) which gets the nasty taste out of it. I can control how MUCH wick is in there to avoid leaks and gurgles.

We all know China is not famous for quality control. The heads I have bought have an astonishingly high rate of failure, gurgle, leaking. By doing it myself I bypass all of that.

Thank you, Myrany! I guess I hadn't considered the QC issue, but now it makes sense. I see some Kanthal wire in my future . . . .
