Are you using a juice calculator to come up with your mixes? There's one really great one made by an ECF member that I use. Maybe you're not getting the flavor percentages you think you are. Other than that I'm stumped.

I just started in mid September and I can say I haven't mixed anything I didn't like yet. I really like the fact that it's now costing me 7 cents a ml as opposed to the 90 cents to a buck per ml that store juice cost but as mentioned, I wouldn't give up vaping because I couldn't DIY. vaping is still cheaper and healthier than smoking...

Yes I use E Juice me up calculator and I measure EVERYTHING with syringe.
All my DIY's are muted and empty. Believe me, Avil Vapor is the store I got hooked up and bought my mod. I still have couple of their juices. So when I vape mine then I try theirs Im like .... man my .... sucks.

Ok here's an update.
Today I am vaping 40PG/60VG mix 15mg Nic no flavor.
Its sweet enough I guess thanks to VG. Nic hit is ok not even that strong as I expected since sometimes even 12mg vendors juice is kind of stong. Its not completely "empty" even if there is no flavor in it. Maybe I catch some of the flavor from the wick since my coil is a week old and I've used couple of different juices in it.
Its smooth and mellow but vendors juices are kind of sharp and clean comparing to this one.
Maybe its my VG or Nicotine? Or maybe different VG mix since my Nic is 75% VG Idk what brand and VG I've used is Heritage Store brand.

you can't really get a good sample of unflavored without washing your clearo's and starting with a fresh coil. I often switch to unflavored and the custard remnants in my dripper really come through. If you are trying stuff on a used coil it is going to affect the flavor.

I started my journey with a naut mini and quickly outgrew it. I wanted something I could recoil easily on my own. It is a great clearo but at the end of the day it is a clearo.

I agree. Thats why I want to upgrade my mod to Itaste mvp 3.0 pro and kanger subtank mini which has rba.
I am sure I will get more flavor with that one but this set up I use right now is pretty good for smokers switching to vaping because it gives that tight drag similar like cigs and not too much of vapor coming out.

Try using a 1.8 coil wrapped four times around 3mm silica. I make the coil myself and will have to say it is good for flavor. Of course that is not for sub. It is for the mouth to lung start with it a low and move up the watts till you find the sweet spot. Hope you will try some of the advice above as it is all very good advice. Anything to keep you off the cigs...

When I began to DYI I bought 6 flavors. I still remember them: Latakia, Burley, Perique Black, Dark Vapure, Vanilla Classic, and Caramel; all From FlavourArt. I almost gave up, and then one day the bubble burst and good things started happening.
I wanted a decent tobacco juice, and that's what I eventually got.
So I would suggest going for one flavor that you like, and work on it until you get it right. I wouldn't try to make more than one until I nail it. Or better yet make a standalone....say Am4a from Inawera...go 06dr/05mls. and see where that gets you. I vape Am4a a lot by itself, and I mentioned it because I saw it on your list.
Danny45 mentioned staying away from TFA....I have to agree with him. Their flavor %'s are so dismally varied that one is always at a loss.
I like Inawera, FA, Hangsen, German Flavors, and Flavors Express, but I try everything I can. I avoid DIY Flavorshack, and decadent Vapors like the plaque.
If you work on one flavor only, you will be successful and that will give you the knowledge to move on.
Good Luck, and happy vaping.

Talking to Am4a what does 06dr/05mls means?
And what about capella flavors?

Thanks for all your advices.
Yeah my first DIY was made of Virginia for my friend. 50PG/50VG
He liked it (or he lied) to me that smells and taste like the ashtray. You smoke and you leave all the cigarette butts in the ashtray. Come tomorrow and smell it. Thats Virginia taste and smell.

To me, the taste of Virginia, like the virginia slims I smoked for 30+ yrs, was kinda dry and bitter-sweet-ish -- the actual cigarettes more bitter of course, but the virginia ejuice I used at first, and also that Tobacco Express Virginia, had that same kind of bitter-sweet dryness. Until I started vaping sweet fruit flavors, after which, that Virginia just tasted/smelled like that weird whang laundry gets when you forget and leave it in the washer overnight -- kinda "soured." Ugh. I've got about 100ml of MFS Virginia that's way over a year old and probably oughta just be thrown out, I'm never gonna vape it again.

Have you ever tried lower percentages? Form your list I could suggest a few mixes as per my taste. Everyone is different. Taste is subjective and by the sounds of it, you may have a sensitive pallet. Try 1.) 3% Strawberry and Cream, 1.5% of Vanilla custard, .5% Sweetener / 2.) 3% Strawberry Ripe, 1% Cantaloupe, .5% Sweetener / I have found that most TFA are really good at 3% for main flavors except when they are really strong. I would suggest Stronger flavors at .5% or lower. When you taste it and it is close to what your looking for, just give it some time then. No need to try to make it stronger. Some ejuice are like Fine Wine sometimes. With Age comes perfection. Hope this helps. (30 ml bottle mixes help out with smaller percentages.)

Thanks for your advice. I will definitely give it a try next time.
My thoughts are maybe my clearo is not giving me enough of flavor.
Second boatanchors66 gave me some advice on my steeping. Maybe all my juices turn out bad because I didnt let them steep completely out of any kind of light.
Even I tried this: https://www.youtube.com/user/VapeCrisis/videos
For example my Pear LA taste good, I add sweetener and its perfect. When I mix it with PG/VG it taste like ..... Harsh, barely flavor etc.

Could be the PG and VG you are using. I use them from www.essentialdepot.com Nice clean taste IMO.

What do you think which tank is better to go with Kanger Subtank mini or Isub G tank?
I am planning to buy Itaste MVP 3.0 Pro Mod.
Somehow I have a feeling that my Nautilus Mini is not giving me what I want plus my juices suck over that.
