I've had some disasters LOL
Usually it involved putting too many flavors together... Now, I've learned to stick to one or two flavors and try that out... Plus, making smaller batches wastes less.
I use those little cases for contact lenses to mix up a very small sample of what I'm trying to do. If its yummy, I make more. If not, there isn't too much there and I vape it anyway or save it for the end of the world.

I mixed up some yukkie tasting stuff the other day... I've been vaping it anyway, and the darn stuff is lasting longer than I had hoped! LOL I only mixed up half a dram's worth, but DANG how long till its GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I test small batches first. If it's an obvious failure I ditch it. I try to keep the test batches down to less then 2ml overall, so I don't feel too bad if I have to ditch the lot.
Just make a slop bucket and smoke it when you're drunk
LOL That's kinda what I've been doing. Every bit that doesn't taste right, I throw it all in one larger bottle. I bet there are over 20 different flavors in there now. ...I'll save it for a rainy day, or a drunk one.
No matter how bad it is in most cases--it is better the having nothing--so keep it around is what I say------------Sun
Mixing 50/50 with either pg or vg just didn't work out for me. Then again, the vast majority of the flavors I have tried have, at best, a vague relation to what they purport to be :-(. Only flavor I found to date is the Janty peach that comes close to tasting like what it is labeled :-(.
My answer to vape all bad mixes> add mint/menthol to it = over power the sucker... Janes abandon mint is great for this lol
I make very small batches for testing (about 20 or so drops). If it's anywhere near what I had in mind I'll try adding to it; if not, out it goes.
BUT - I do record every experiment in detail, exactly what I blended and what it tasted like. Experience is building up and a killer juice may one day emerge.

fiddler, I also do the same. Just in case I find one that is just right. Would hate to loose the formula of how I made it.
i've only just begun making my own,but what doesn't work out i usually mix

When you guys mix up a batch, how do you test it? Just drip a little onto your atomizers & vape? Because, I can't see filling a whole cart with a questionable liquid... I'm going to try mixing up some of my own soon & I'm just curious. Thanks!!

Cher--that is the only time I drip--to check out a batch I made as you have to keep adusting the flavor or the viscosity----so yes do not sit there and burn though blanks--you are correct to drip it on to test it---Sun

A DIY Newbie here,
I have only mixed several batches (no more than 10) but recently I discovered that menthol e-liquid can fix almost every bad batch.
As I type I`m vaping:
45% Marlboro 18mg
20% Menthol 18mg
15% PG (Finally got it!)
15% VG
5% Cherry Lorrans
Sweet
I never tried mixing a batch bigger than 2ml - seems like a big waste
P.s. for the poll I have not voted yet but I tossed up maybe 3 out of 10 that I made (just thought I need a gun pointed at me to make me vape that)
