new to making e juice

I have been vaping almost 6 months and have only used pre mixed. I would like to learn how to make my own e juice to save on money. the closest I have came to diy e juice is mixing together two premixed to get the flavor I desired. so my question is where do I start what do I need and how do I make my own?
