I’m thinking I should grab a small single coil RBA for stand alone flavor test. I’ve been vaping for 18 months but still haven’t taught myself the basics of building coils. I considered using a small pen type vape for this but flavors wouldn’t taste the same as in my large tanks. Any thoughts?

Thats easy. Hadaly. IMHO, the best flavor RDA out there
$14.90 SXK Hadaly Styled RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping its a clone but works great. Enter coupon "map" and it drops drastically
I’m expecting a delivery from them tomorrow, lol. Wish I’d known but at least I know now. You guys are the best! I’d have been researching and comparing for hours as I basically know nothing of RBA’s. A HUGE thank you to you dc99!

Your coilmaster kit will come with a bit of wire and cotton, not great quality. Use it for practicing, LOL. If you decide to continue building, you will have to select a wire type (I vote for SS since it can be used in TC or wattage mode and it's easy to use). I like 28 gauge but on bad days I've used premade coils in a pinch (of various gauges). I really like 28 gauge SS wire, but I am a simple round wire build MTL kind of gal.

I don't know if MFS wizard "blends" everything like a milkshake, but it does give some of my mixes a little extra oomph (can't really figure out how to describe it, it's just more substantial) and it does round certain flavors out nicely. I think you will like it, perhaps not in "every" mix, but many of them, if you are looking for mouthfeel.... The mild aftertaste just gives it that, and it does seem to go well with many flavors, if it winds up being something you like (I mean, nothing is for everyone, but I like it enough to recommend it, etc.).

I didn't get a dripper, but I taste tested and my tastebuds are pretty good now . It's not the same as inhalation, but it gave me some general "is this ready yet or not type of moments." Were I less confident in my DIY skills, I would probably get one.

Lol, I’m loving this! How do I know what size coils to purchase and how many 6 pks would you recommend buying at a time? I noticed the connection thread is 510. Is that a size? I don’t know how long they last. Looks to me like the cotton is pretty basic and any will work.

When you say you taste test, do you mean you just maybe put a dab on your finger and try it that way? So looking forward to every aspect. Thanks again!

I do, and it's not really remotely accurate as compared to actually vaping some. It gives me a general sense of how my mix is doing and if something is horribly off. I don't get fifteen different flavor notes and all the nasal stuff, etc., but it gives me a general sense. Etc.

Anna
Thats good to know as this could be useful for me later on after I’m feeling more confident and know what to look or taste for:p

So, does Fast Tech have a inexpensive decent coil building kit? I just don’r know about RBA anything really yet. I wouldn’t have known which RBA & coils to purchase if dc99 hadn’t hand picked them for me. I don’t want to place the order until I know it’s complete.

You can buy the authentic coilmaster kit at FT or various components of it if you'd rather.

I would go to FT, go to "vape tools" and then search for "authentic coilmaster kit v-whatever." You should get some results. I got mine off amazon, it was a bit more expensive but much faster, but yes you can get one there if you so desire.

Idk about ordering one from FT but since I’m already ordering a couple other items from there atm I wanted to get anything in I might need from there now being it does take a couple weeks. I’m thinking maybe just get the prebuilt for now and focus on DIY ejuice atm until I feel more confident in which kit to buy. Aproximately how long does a clapton coil last? These are 6 pks. Wondering how many to order.

Coils can last months if cared for properly. Coils (even prebuilt) can last mere moments, if I'm having a bad installation day, but I was really, really awesomely bad with RTAs and such in the beginning, plus I have a fine motor tremor. I really think a pack or so should be enough, but you're going to have to experiment. Don't forget, you will be learning how to wick and install them, so.... Some error is to be expected. Although if you are buying more "substantial" coils than the simple round wire builds that I buy, I imagine a pack would be enough? You can always get more if you find you so need it and/or get some more quickly. It's not that hard to find decently priced coils. But, if it's a single build, I'd imagine you'd probably get at least one installed and wicked before destroying all the other ones and etc.

I found a coil building kit in which I like the design and how it works but unfortunately its built lower quality with some plastic parts. It’s a magic stick. Think I’ll hold off for today and find a more durable higher quality set up. I’ll just order the prebuilts to have initially. You’re always ready to offer advice and help where you can, thanks!
