Newbies can giggle er I mean learn from our mistakes

1. defrosted TFA menthol in the microwave. Got distracted. Bottle blew, EVERYWHERE (stick bottle in a cup of same water to warm up)

2. Adding 3.5% CAP vanilla bean ice cream to a 60ml mix, measuring via weight
I added 3.5g instead of 2.10g

Just now. Made a recipe I like, calculated the nic for a 60ml bottle, but made a 30ml. Used it in a dna device and chain vaped it on replay. I'm good for an hour now.

Mixed flavourart espresso at 1%, instead .1%. I smelled burning tires all day

vaping 10% menthol flavoring straight in an rda to test it, cough like crazy, so bitter.

Had a cold so really couldn't taste anything... mixed some RY1 and just got nothing, so bumped it up (a lot) Now I can finally taste and maybe 10 % was a bit overkill (it's OK, I mixed it with other tobaccos... should be fine) I've been doing MTL for quite awhile (12 mg) so I had my first go at restricted DL... just didn't consider that I was using 12mg... it was great for about 10 minutes then I realized "holy cow" maybe I should mix some 6 mg for this. Oh yea, my favorite goof up... mixing several small batches so put 10 ml base in several bottles, then added flavors (single flavors) and went to try one and was like "I don't taste anything"... maybe it's still the cold messing with me or maybe... I just forgot to actually add anything to the base... doh!

I accidentally mixed a margaritta mix and a gin and tonic mix in the same bottle.

If I mess up something, I usually try to fix it before pitching it. That was ONE mix I did not even ATTEMPT to save.

I have kind of been too traumatized to try again, although I do have a lovely brandy and ginger ale happening. Maybe my next mixing session.... In vey, very small bottles first. LOL.

Last week grabbed frozen yogurt instead of plain, wasn't bad and did spark a couple recipe ideas. I'm sure there are a multitude of others; especially from the measuring by volume days.

I add some EM crystals to some of my mixes and use this tiny scoop. Well I made up a 60ml bottle of a fruit concoction and was gonna add a scoop or two of the EM crystals but couldn’t find the scoop. I decided to just tilt the bottle over my new mix bottle and give it tiny taps until enough crystals were in my bottle. So I tap, tap, tap and didn’t notice a big chunk of crystals working its way out and kerplunk!! I just added about 10-15 times more EM then I intended too. I’ve tried it a few times since this happened a few weeks ago but it’s almost flavorless. I haven’t dumped it yet, I may just keep it and next time I want some EM in my juice I’ll just use the dropper and add some that way. It’s much safer and I wouldn’t have wasted 60mls of mix.

I've never used EM but I think everyone just pre-mixes it with juice. I get "twitchy" sometimes... probably would have dumped half the bottle all over the place.

I've been trying all these different flavors with butter mint (have a thread on that) Looking for my bottle of cinnamon and guess what I grabbed by accident... butter mint LOL. Noticed at the last minute (by the way, it wasn't a very good combo) Could have been worse... might have grabbed the chai tea

Just recently mIxed 500ml of base at 12mg nicotine strength then after I was done realized I've been on 6mg for over a year. So diluted to 6mg and now have 1000mg of base. Guess I won't be needing base for a while

was mixing up some Irish coffee juice, got to the last ingredient, had a hard time getting .1 grams of coconut and squeezed a way to much coconut in the mix. another 2 weeks to finish steeping and I hope its ok...

Might just add some chocolate (actually Smores if you have it or also add marshmallow) Could end up being a winner.

VapingJoe, I have discovered many good combinations that way... vape something part way in a tank (and then top it with something else) just to find it's even better. Might also be disgusting (dump it) or make a note to self "peanut butter banana with smores and a bit of butter mint/cinnamon is not bad at all (who would have thought)

When I started DIYing I purchased a scale that was advertised as measuring down to 0.00g. When I got it though it was only 0.0g. So, I found a nice one on Amazon and ordered it. The first mix I was mixing on it I somehow managed to knock my bottle of pg over drenching only the screen and button area of the new scale. It worked for 3 mixes before the screen turned solid black.
