Hi all.. I'm VERY new to the scene.. about a whole 2 weeks of vaping experience under my belt.. decided yesterday to try a simple usb pass-through, uncased a bad battery I had received with my Luci, *I know,I made a bad choice there, hadnt found you guys yet, lol* used the threaded connector and mini led from the battery, and an old usb cable i had lying around, and housed it in a old plastic pen case, I get 5v at the atomizer when i hit the button, but no vapor, if I take a very hard pull for 5 full seconds i can get tiny bit of haze, and the atomizer barley even gets warm. Anyone gone through this and knows what stupid mistake I'm sure I made and could help I would be most gratefull.

well,, I disconnected the led, I filed the edge of the battery connector down to assure good connection, Then read above post about staple mod, *should have done more reading* did that.. *drum roll*.. Nothing.. hahaha, still in same boat.. long hard hit = tiny tiny tiny bit of vapor, leave it to me to be able to screw up something this simple.. maybe my usb cable is too wimpy ,, maybe I used to large gauge wire to the battery connector.. hmm.. start over time I suppose.. lolol ty for the help guy's.

First of all, i have no idea what a Luci is, never even heard about it, but it sounds like you might be trying to puff on something not meant to be puffed on  (bad joke)

Here is a simple test you should try, use the same atomizer with a battery instead of the pass-through, same result?
If so, you got a dead or almost dead atomizer.

Now, if it works with a battery, you should post a pic of your pass-through, that might help solving the mystery.

Oh, one more thing, where are you connecting your pass-through?
laptop, desktop, power pack, wall adapter?

The wire gauge really wont affect unless you use industrial sized 1/2" thick :p

I'm pretty sure it is your power source, even when it shows 5V the amps are as important and if it is not right, you will not get it to work no matter what you do.

I cant post a pic of the pass-through as I just tore it back apart.. tried it using usb power on laptop and desktop, front and back ports, all usb 2.0.. its no biggie just messing around..
