Never liked it, always smoked lights, and took relatively short drags to minimize that. I've been doing DIY for a few months now, and notice some juices come out very harsh. I make all of them at 12mg nic from Myfreedomsmokes, 70vg/30 pg, and most of my flavors are Healthcabin, but i do also have some VZ super concentrate as well as Flavourart and TFA/TPA from Wizard labs.

I recently got an order of Wizard labs ICE so that will be the next nic i experiment with, but this is my big question.

How can i reliably reduce throat hit in my mixes and what factors are known to definitely effect throat hit? (i don't want speculation, i want some data if there is any!)

Thanks for anyone answering. =-0

I will try a 100 vg mix (i assume i will need 10% distilled water?) and if that is not suitable, cut it to 8mg then.

Is there a chance the flavoring alone are effecting the throat hit that dramatically to me? The first time i tried the Super concentrated flavoring of pear (which i like) it was brutally on my throat compared to a different pear flavor i have mixed with before....

Some flavors are definitely smoother than others.

I just started DIY with wizard labs base and it has more TH and pepperiness than I was used to with other vendor juice. I also did not mix my concentrated nic before measuring and got a really strong mix my first time around.

More info on vendors nic bases and throat hit or pepperiness.

I think if the flavor contains ethyl alcohol or ethanol, it will cause more throat hit. I'm new to this myself, but already notice that vodka, and jack Daniels add throat hit....
