First package arrived from WizardLabs and what a wonderful and quick experience! Everything was spot on, extra samples and packing was some of the best I've ever seen. Kudos WZ, Kudos! :)

Now to the nitty.. 250ml each 60mg Nic (60PG/40VG), USP PG, USP VG, 20+ TPA flavors and some bottles and odds and ends.

Been reading; A LOT here and abroad and decided to use some of the 3ml bottles to make 1ml samples of a few flavors so I would know how they are at various %'s.

Tried 5 so far @ 5% each using .5ml of nic, .2 each PG/VG and .1 of flavor. Target was 30mg 60PG/40VG % and thus far it's not too shabby even a single flavor but had some questions about the blunt tip needle I'm using to extract the flavoring.

I'm using the 1ml syringe and a blunt tip needle (18g I think) and how does one account for the needle's volume itself? I mean I'm sure that the :) lunt tip is at least 1-1.5 inches long and it has to be at least .05 if not close to .1 in volume itself (just gathering by eye) so on some I just filled up until the first tick, .0025 and put that and volume of the needle in so I'll have to keep testing.

Anyways I kinda like Absinthe and peppermint thus far and the others including Black Cherry and Grahmn cracker Crust will I'm sure grow or work well mixed. Maybe some French Vanilla or RY4 or 555 next (lol)

Wanted to thank everyone here and ECF for a great forum and as I stated earlier.. I have joined your ranks!

Cheers,
~Icky

If i were you i would make at least 2ml size samples or larger to get your percentages easier to work with. your actually testing your flavors at 10% if put .1 ml in a 1 ml batch. Also, if you're gonna make such small batches ditch the needle and just use the syringe, your measurements will be closer. Good luck and don't get discouraged when you make something unvapable, we can't learn without mistakes.

Yeah but the 1ml sample, while small, does give me a good 20 or so drops and quite a few vapes off my drip atty. I'll be picking up some the new UD IGO-L's here next week (CoOp), A7's (CoOp) and Pheonix's coming in (lol a bit of rba hound lately) so the bigger batches will give me more of a sample base and I'll start doing 3ml's and some recipe's here in 15ml batches.

I'm one to start small and honestly the calculations aren't that hard and since I'm making a 60/40 PG/VG and that's my base targeted for 30mg nic it's fairly quick and easy albeit small quantities at time. Your also 100% correct and not sure where I let that go with the 5% or 10% cause .1 is 10% of 1ml and what I was thinking about starting with and must have just forgot I wanted to start @ 5 :)

I'm sure I'll get a bit discouraged but in the end it shall be worth it :D

Thanks!

Well I could list off the flavors, all 20+ of them, but not sure that's productive.

I did get the tobacco absolute which I read is quite strong and needs dilution and another 555 DK Tobacco I believe (not near them atm) and some other more rich, tobacco related flavors (caramel, nutty, etc) so I'm in agreement with your assessment.

Those I will experiment after I've sampled the more simple flavors first so I know once I get to those dilution points and ready for a peach tobacco I know how much peach, etc. It works out in my convoluted head, trust me (lol)

Being a software engineer I know failure all too well and even program for and against it so if I eliminate variables and do small batches, at various %'s, themselves I'll know better what I can go in mix.

Right now the only flaw in the plan is I'm keeping all my base and flavors in the fridge and that VG and Nic base is quite rough getting in needles thus using the 12 and 18g blunt tips which work a bit easier and quicker. :)

Liguid in needle does not come out. It stops exiting when the plunger stops pushing

Good Point! :) I hadn't thought of it that way but your correct and I feel a bit foolish now, heh.

I use 1ml syringes and don't use a needle. Those little buggers go right into the mouth of the bottle without an issue.

Thanks Hoosier and good to note. I've been putting a new desk together this evening (say it takes 5-7 hours to build) and haven't gotten back to it but I've been at it 2 hours now and need a vape break ;) I may try to mix up a Double RY4 mix and have to try without the needles..

Cheers,
