DIY tank mod?

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a DIY tank mod?

I've given up on Clouds of Vapor. They never have them in stock.

I have a few clearomizers laying around. If anyone knows how I can do this please let me know! I don't want something that is GIGANTIC or looks poorly crafted. I want to get something that looks better or the same as the MAP tanks on Clouds of vapor. Thx!

I just realized that i've been using xl clearomizers this whole time when scanning the thread.
I thought they were regular clearomizers!

I got a little scared when they talked about drill bits and a grinding stone. I can't even take the wick out of my tank atty.

Simplest is:
- mini pipe cutter
- tubing
- grommets
- cartomizers

For clearomizers, cut a small piece of steel from a cartomizer and fit it in the bottom grommet.

I can use clearomizer right? it's the same thing as a cartomizer?

All I do is extract the everything inside the tube?

Yeah I just made one of these myself a couple of days ago. I purchased the tubes from madvapes and got 5/8 inch beveled washers from lowe's. Here is what I did:

1. Cut off bottom and threaded end with an exacto knife or razor blade.
2. use an old metal cartomizer tube or old 510 atomizer to punch out a hole in the washer with a hammer.
3. Put one washer on each end and enjoy!

It really is a very simple mod to make. Punching the holes with a hammer works good but the holes are off center so it is very lop-sided. hopefully I saved you some time sifting through that thread

can you use the tubing that the above poster said? i'm about to go buy some at lowes. can you still use those washers with the polycarbonate tubing?

xl clearomizers are great, you can rebuild them easily with fire rope for wick and nichrome wire, on top of that you can pick the best resistence for your battery so no need to waste power on a voltage regulator.

ugh... just tried 2 home depots and a lowes.... couldn't find the tubing or the washers.

I guess i'll just order the parts online.
