I'm getting ready to do my first tank mod; I got rubber grommets, 10ml syringe for the outer shell, a bare metal Boge 510 carto, drip tip, and a syringe with a long blunt needle for filling-which is the part I'm stumped on; I thought that when I punched the carto, I'd do it in such a way that I could fill it from inside the carto using the syringe, but I'm concerned that if I do that the hole will be too big and It'd flood the carto. Any suggestions? Maybe some way to make a filling hole in the top grommet that won't leak of I accidentally turn it over? Or a closeable fill hole in the side of the tank? I'll only be using this at home, so it doesn't have to be pocketable.

KISS Keep It Simple, Silly.

The tank is a sealed enclosure. No way to fill the tank without air escaping. Don't blame me. It's physics.if you try filling the tank from inside the carto, you'll soak the filler and excess nicquid will pour out the connector end.

You could probably puncture the gasket and fill. It stands to reason, because the air chuck for footballs/basketballs/etc have a rubber nipple that you puncture with a needle. Providing there's enough compaction on the rubber, a punctured hole should re-seal. Just hypothesis. Try whatever you want and report any issues.

Well, my original theory was that I would pop off the drip tip, slide the needle between the carto side & filler so that the very tippy-tip of the needle protrudes through the hole in the side of the carto into the tank reservoir area, and fill. After considering it for awhile, I decided that such a hole would be too big, allowing too much juice to flow into the carto.
