I posted something similar yesterday on the new members site cause i still didnt have 5 posts. But now i figured i would come on over to the DIY section and get some more thoughts. I have 11 flavors from flavor apprentice pineapple, ripe strawberry, lemonade, juicy peach, mango, rasberry, watermelon, grape, cotton candy, cinnamon danish, and mt. dew. I have been trying for the past few weeks to make some good flavors and i still have yet to get any flavors to work. I was trying with 30% flavoring and that didnt work. And i was told thats far to much flavoring and it will actually make the flavors less potent. Today i made all the flavors just by themselves in a 10ml bottle of 50/50 with 10% flavoring and still not getting much flavor. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated on what i should do to make these flavors work. Thanks

I have the juicy peach, and made a peaches and cream with it.The first day,i could not taste the peach at all,at 5%,the next day it really came through, then after a few weeks it got so strong it started tasting sour.I have had this with a few other fruit flavors as well,so i would definitely keep your % low if you plan on making enough to last more than a week or so.

How bog of a bottle were you using ??

Use as small a bottle as you can to make test samples. You don't want to go wasting all those supplies that you paid good money for. I recommend making 5 - 10 ml sample sizes.

Patience. :vapor: you need to let the flavors meld together. Some may take longer than others.

I always make my batches, taste test them. I have a few that are vapable right away but most need a week. When I first started DIY I made 5ml samples. Once I perfected to taste I started making huge batches. Keep a notebook handy and record everything. This helps later in remembering what percentages you used and what needs tweaking. I always noted everything, even taste tests and preferred steep times once they reach a good taste.

Remember Things take time. You learn as you go. Once you get it right you'll be very happy. :p

Too much flavoring concentrate will actually mute the flavor/taste. Some flavors are very strong requiring you use small percentages while others are quite weak and require more. I found a list of recommended TFA single flavor strengths in the TFA thread (long ago), posted it below hope that helps you. Vapor's tongue also reeks havoc on taste, during my first six months of vaping I suffered that malady often.
If the flavors you have don't suit you, try a different flavor manufacturer. When it comes to vaping, everyone's taste is different. Personally, I didn't like TFA's fruit flavors as much as some other brands I had tried like Inawera and Flavor Arts but YMMV.

I'm not sure if I have the regular one or not. It just says cotton candy and it's the biggest bottle of that. 32oz of cotton candy flavoring. I didn't realize it was em but I guess that would make sense haha.

Here is another good question, if I want a 90/10 mix, cause I personally use mech mods not vv mods. I can't do anything more than 10% can I or it will be less than 90/10.

EM can sweeten, but it's not a sweetener. (The crystals are dissolved in PGA and mixed in PG to make a 10% solution for use in mixing, which is why so many of us just buy Cotton Candy flavoring from TPA/TFA so it's all done for us.)

I noted what I use for sweetening in post 13 and don't see any need to repeat in a short thread.
