Oh yes sorry about that Hoosier. But what is ez sweetener?? And I guess I can use my cotton candy as sweetener I will try it out. I'm most likely goin to order more flavors as well today since I am so limited and have no creamy flavors or candy flavors now. And what is a good ratio of cotton candy to use?? Let's say for every 10ml of pg what would be a good ratio of that being cotton candy ??

LOL, full of it...everybody knows the story now RocketPuppy:D j/k.

Cotton candy (EM) is not a sweetener, more like a smoothing/blending agent, however...

It kind of mutes the other flavors so it appears to be sweeter (like fooling your taste buds).

I think it's supposed to cut the sharp/bitter notes from a final mix.

Just use small amounts, say 1 drop in 10ml, which should be under .5%.

You can use other sweeteners like TFA, or liquid Stevia Extract, or sucralose, but must be diluted first.

2 drops will sweeten my cup of coffee plenty, (250ml).

I always thought I needed sweeteners until I stopped using them. I can't think of the last time I used one. I can't actually remember what I ate last night but still...

I only used sweetener a couple of times, more recently, and didn't like them, but I had to find out for myself.

All the hype and recipes using all this extra stuff is misleading to new DIY'ers.

People starting out in DIY should be more concerned with other things besides EM & sweeteners IMO.

Sorry if I come off as an expert, because I'm certainly not, just my experiences with the stuff.

Maybe I'm just getting old and grouchy...

Haha no you don't come off in a bad way at all. I really appreciate all the feedback. As most everyone has said it's just gonna take time and effort for me to get my flavors right. I'm going to order some new flavors tonight cause what I'm working with is to limited!! I guess I'll just keep trying without sweetener. But I feel like if I make any of these flavors with only 3-5% flavoring that it won't be enough. I guess I'll stick to 10% for now and see how it goes. But thank you for all the feedback

EZ Sweets is just Sucralose...without the fillers in most consumer products.

The best way to find the ratio that works with your mix is to experiment. I usually use 0.1% or less, but I usually don't use EM as a sweetener. A large bottle of what you're working on divided down into small amounts and putting different amounts of EM solution in those small bottles. Keep notes and label the bottles. I approach much of my mixing this way and it's also why I often say that getting close to the taste you want is easy, but getting it perfect takes time and effort.

If I think I need a sweetener I will use a sweet fruit like Cap's sweet strawberry instead of a sugar. Every sweetener I ever used tastes like chemicals. Less is more when it comes to additives imo, I like to call them "lessatives". Try something sour to spruce up fruits. Seems sideways, but it works for me.

I do the same. Things like brown sugar and marshmallow work well too.

Brown sugar - that's exactly what I wanted to know, Thanks! I like cinnamon & think that would be the a nice
compliment. (Brown sugar = sugar & molasses, does any body sell molasses?)

Doesn't salt bring out the sweetness in foods? Does this pan out in the e-liquid world?

The nicotine I'm thinking of purchasing comes in 100%PG or 100%VG. The sweetness thing is leaning me
towards the 100%VG & I don't need the extra throat hit of PG.

So I don't DIY yet & am just starting my research. I'm thinking of doing it for simple flavors that I know I like.

When I first started, I did 3 ml testers in 5 ml bottles of each flavor to see what I liked and what would be good when combined. Many places do sell molasses. Here's a list: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...162-diy-flavor-flavour-suppliers-vendors.html

Can't answer about the salt imparting sweetness for sweet juices, but some add a minute amount of saline solution to helps with dryness and something else (brain not working atm). There are quite a few sweet flavors that will add to the sweetness beyond Sucralose and others. They each add an extra component though, kettle corn, maple syrup, caramel, etc. Like I said earlier, I do like the brown sugar and marshmallow, but after some time, I just haven't used them for awhile.
