I recently purchased some DIY supplies from an online supplier. I'm not sure if I should post their name or not...
Anyways, I purchased PG, VG and NIC and quite a bit of it. I have been vaping for about 3 months now with no issue.
I usually purchase my juices from mister-e-liquids but wanted to give diy a try due to price and control.
Anyways I made up a batch of diy eliquid and the minute I take a toot I immediatily get light headed and on the verge of seeing tracers.
Zoned out. Its really wierd. I do not have this issue with any premade juices I purchase.

Now I also purchased a nicotine test kit and the nicotine i purchased is the correct strength and I also tested it in juice form when I make it and it is at the correct strength. So it's not a case of too much nic. I contacted the supplier and he said no one has ever had this reaction to his supplies. he says he gets it all from the states and none of it has any dg in it. I am very concerned as I bought a ton of this stuff and i would hate to have to throw it away. Has anyone had this reaction to any eliquid?

I used TFA grape juice which Im pretty sure is in the juice I am vaping all day with no problems. I have also tried it with different flavors and diy supplies and get the same reaction.

I wonder if maybe there are different types of VG or PG or even nic that I could be sensitive too for some reason? I do not have this issue and have never had it before with any of mister-eliquids juices. but the minute I make my own batch of diy eliquid I have this reaction and it's not pleasant.

Could anyone help shed some light this?

Thanks

If you want DIY help, (since you're a newbie and can't post in the DIY sub-forum yet) maybe you should state facts like:

What mg nic base and how did you mix it and in what quantities? Did you shake the base and juice well 1st? What PG/VG ratio?

Are you getting different volume of vapor with the DIY than with the pre-made? (like it's vaporized faster for some reason...maybe thinner).

I didnt post them because they are exactly the same and well within standards.

50mg base nic. yes of course I shook it. 67%pg 33% vg. same as prebought liquid. Same vapor production.
Same consistency. the nic tested at 18mg in juice same as premade juice. this has to be something in the pg/vg or nic.
I dont believe it to be anything to do with mixing or flavoring.

The only active substance that will get you "zoned" is nic.

I suppose alcohol in the flavorings could be a culprit. Or you're using some type of flavoring that you shouldn't.

Otherwise, without a gas chromatographic study...how would anyone know?

Make some unflavored ...just nic base and VG/PG at the same ratio. Eliminate the flavorings.

You should know the effects of nic already if you smoked (well, most of them) and be able to recognize them. Does it feel like a nic buzz?

Ok I just did another test. I did 50/50 of pg and vg no nic and I did not have the reaction. So it has to be in the nicotine. are there different types of nicotine base?

That makes more sense. Mix the nic base. Shake well.

Remotely possible that the vendor didn't mix it well. You purchased 50mg base but vaped 100mg or more. Just a guess.

Well, here's your next test, since you seem to have narrowed it down to the nicotine base you're using. Either mix it at half the strength you'd normally use and see what happens, or try nicotine base from a different vendor. I personally use Wizard Labs, High Desert Vapes sells their nic as well if WL is out of stock. If that's what you're already using, I can say for a fact the nicotine strength is as-advertised and definitely not the problem in this situation, but if you're using any other vendor..who knows. Oh, and MFS also has tested good nicotine (personal experience, but it seemed to be as-rated).

ETA: If you can figure out the PG/VG ratio of whatever juice you're already vaping, make sure your DIY attempts are similar. Know you said they were, but I didn't see a hard number for your pre-mixed juice PG/VG anywhere... May want to try higher-VG as well, I find it tends to mellow that sudden 'buzz' effect.

I think the question on everyone's mind is, "Where can I get some of that?".
I kid. I just had a flash back to the first day of 8th grade smoking some odd Turkish cigarettes that came in different pastel colors. What a horrible feeling to projectile vomit in front of all my new classmates. However, that was the most interesting math class I ever had.
