Rip Trippers just released a post on FB about the dna 200. I thought Evolv wasn't into high wattage chips?

That was before when they were the only one and had no competition!

Mr. Busardo has some additional information about the dna 200 board here: Taste Your Juice | Can I Taste Your Juice?
I can't cut and paste any of his text so you will have to read it on his page.
It sounds like a great modders board. I am looking forward to seeing what it really can do and what coefficients are user settable. I can't wait for that coop to go live.
Yes it will be and 200 watts w temp control. They are playing catch up now with 200 watts and upgradable software. That's a good thing.I will not buy another dna device ever unless it's firmware upgrade able... I had 6 total non working dna40 devices that needed sending back

Why are people so anti li-po pack? They far outperform comparable mah imr's, in both amp draw and life. I use an 800 mah pack in my variant that lasts longer then my 2400 mah 18650s at the same wattage, and it can run 200 watts safely.... Embrace the li-pos, they are a good thing!

We all have 18650's and chargers now. Don't need to start all over with lipo's and for what? 200 watts we don't need!Because some of us would rather have a battery vent than explode.
Same reason as usual: ignoranceWhy are people so anti li-po pack?.
I'm pretty sure you'll need to buy lipo packs and charge them in the mod as they're 11v (3S). If you build a mod for 18650's, you'll need at least 3.We all have 18650's and chargers now. Don't need to start all over with lipo's and for what? 200 watts we don't need!
Thats one of my pet peeves no replaceable battery I don't want to wait around while my mod charges I want to swap and goI'm pretty sure you'll need to buy lipo packs and charge them in the mod as they're 11v (3S). If you build a mod for 18650's, you'll need at least 3.
I agree about the 200w but the other features are intriguing.
Battery safety is all ready a problem Now we want to carry one of these around?

I know you can swap lipo's but I all ready have 18650's and a charger.
Maybe the video is little dated, still scares the heck out of me. I have many mods too thats not the point. I'm not going to buy all new lipo batteries for 200 watts I don't need or want. I expect better from Evolv. TC gave us no burnt wicks this is big! and well worth updating for. Now tell me why I'm going to update to the 200 watt? Were's the big new innovation? That video is from 2008. Lipos are no more dangerous than LiIon (18650's).
I have enough mods that I can wait for one to charge while I vape with another one. It is nice to be able to replace the battery though.
Re the 200W, I agree that at first glance it sounds odd - who needs 200W, especially for TC? My gut feeling, especially with SuckMyMod's comment above, is where it becomes interesting is in the pre-heat. You set the mod to 150W or whatever it can do in TC (maybe 200 even), and that gives a very brief but very powerful blast to the coil to get it almost instantaneously at-temp, almost no ramp up time at all. From there it drops the wattage right down to normal TC levels to maintain that.
