You wouldn't be able to use a 4 cell LiFePO4,,,the dna 200 has a 3 cell balancing charger. Not 1s, 2s, 4s, etc. Only 3s will work.
You can build a box to use 4 cells but not charge from the USB port.

I personally like LiFePo4 batteries (use them in my flashlights) but I'll stick to Lipo's for my mods.

I suppose that would work. Seems like a hassle just to use LiFePO4's, especially when you consider that you'd also be dealing with a super long, clunky box.
Exactly. They don't have the power density of Lipo's. Just not worth the effort and size. There's quite a few mods that have been using Lipo's. And for all the wusses whining about safety, think about what it took to get a lipo pack to fail catastrophically. I can make a car explode by running it into a wall at 100mph so you should stay away from cars while you're at it.

EDIT: So basically, if you want to use LiFePO4 cells, you're going to have to deal with a low battery warning constantly and terrible battery life. LiFePO4 cells do have a very flat discharge curve, but they do drop down to 3.3 (or 9.9 for our uses) pretty quick, where they stay for a while before going down below that. So you really wouldn't get the full mAh out of your LiFeP04 unless you could somehow tell the board that it is indeed a pack with lower operating voltage so it would know not to cut off until a lower voltage.
This is from one of the two beta knowledge contributors to this thread...at least it's crystal clear they're testers.

I just don't know why I'm reading a spec sheet without this information..

Yes, it is selectable, and the LVC etc change based on selection of LIPO, LiFe PO4, or Power Supply.

By default, the LiFe PO4 soft LVC is 2.84v, I am not sure what the Hard LVC is but it will be somewhat less.

ETA, the soft limit is configurable, albeit I am sure it limited by the HARD LVC.

checking the software. gonna be fun fiddling with this. especially the custom messages to display on the screen. ah the profanity.

Lorenzo I guess you could contact evolv and shoot that idea at them?

Hope somebody uploads a chart for titanium soon. expected the mod to come with titanium settings from the getgo oh well.

I'm reading the EScribe manual. No way to set the static resistance of the tank? I mean the resistance of the whole atomizer without coil?
I can see only the mod resistance but is not a preset

This is the best place to interact directly with Evolv and offer suggestions for additional features:

Put a helmet. Previous experience tells me you gonna need it.

It was nice meeting you though :D [emoji14]

I would like to see a preinstalled Ti csv file also. I think it would avoid a lot of problems for folks who aren't familiar with Ti and Ti coils. This should be an early firmware upgrade in my opinion!

Why do the Brits say they're waffling when they don't get to the point? I never understood that.

Yeah since everybody kept on yelling about Ti TC when the dna 200 was announced so now alot of people are expecting it to be pre-installed on the mod. can see people screwing up thinking it autodetects titanium or something.

.

I hope someone else with a good English can explain to evolv the importance to avoid that the static resistance will occur while calculating the temperature of a such small resistance . for a coil of 0.6 ohm also 0.06 ohm is a big error.
Can you explain to evolv?

I am not clever enough to talk to them about stuff like this. plus I am literally too anxious to talk about stuff like this to the big men. shoot them a e-mail. you speak english well enough from what I can see.
