My dna-200 is better than your M Class. You mad, Vlad? :p

Vlad has a critical eye, writes well and has an above average grasp of tech. The only time this gets off the rails is when it tips to advocacy or comparison. Neither are useful in this thread as it is/should be a place for owners or would be owners to get information. Let's encourage all posters in this thread to keep it useful.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I sent a email to vaporshark last night asking a request to send it in so I hope this is a easy process. I'll let everyone know how it works out.
I don't know about now but they weren't very good at responding to e-mails before. I'd give them a call. (855) 827-3669.

Hopefully I can get this figured out. I got a Boxer dna200 and herkales plus with the ss 316L coil. I set it up with a ss csv on escribe. It worked great, then I switched over to a nickel coil for a bit with a different profile. And now when I go back to my ss profile with the ss coil it's not sensing temp, the temp field gives me 3 dashes as in it's not sensing. Any clue?

Finally replaced my dna screen. Hopefully this time the ribbon cable will stay clear from the metal actuator.

Last time, the ribbon cable cleared the on-board button but not the actuator. You can see the rubbing marks on the cable which ruined the screen in about two months.

^^^^^^what's your wattage set to when you go back over to your ss profile. i do know that if the dna doesn't see a certain rise in temp/ohms in a short amount of time it kicks you out of tc. so if your watts are low it won't meet that criteria and it'll kick you out pf tc.
70 watts

I find it odd that you guys are so critical of the finest chip yet. perhaps being so it just has big shoes to fill. if this was the last chip made I would be more than happy with it. although I doubt it will be the last chip made. even so, some restrictions we do not like shall be placed upon vaping as we know it. I would be very surprised if this were the last chip made. for one thing good luck controlling what the Chinese do. however it remains that this chip and my myriad of devices that house it do the job just fine for me. other chips before this one fell short for me. sure, they will up the ante I imagine but I am tickled pink with this one. before this I thought sx was the cats meow. not even close now imo. wish they would update though. that I agree on.

I hear what your saying and agree. I see people buying less expensive chips because in their mind this is too expensive, but then they keep buying mods on a weakly basis still looking to be satisfied (my assumption). I would rather save up and buy a DNA200 and be satisfied. Instead of buying cheaper mods and constantly looking for the next big thing because I'm not satisfied. In the end I've actually saved money if that makes any sense.

Every since I've had my DNA200, I don't consider buying any of the new ones because in my mind I feel like I'm just going to be taking a step back if I do. I'm very satisfied with the chip myself.

Cheers,
Steve

When I started vaping, I thought the cheaper mods would save me money but I ended up buying the next big thing every time. When I got an Evolv DNA30 mod, I was much less interested in the next big thing until the DNA40 came out. Of course I got one (many, actually). There was a huge buzz about the SX350j so I got a couple of mods and put them up for sale within a week. I have a few DNA200's, chips and mods, and now I have very little interest in any mod that doesn't have an Evolv chip. I have DNA40's and DNA200's in my daily rotation and I'm fully satisfied.

Yep, I'm always in search and research mode for the next better thing. If it shows up I'll have one (or more).

Will be interesting what the new update for the 200 brings even though my 200's are plenty good.

And I just recently grabbed some replacement batteries for my years old Darwin (Evolv retired the Darwin in 2012). Good to go for a few more years now. Not a high wattage unit but satisfying when set up right (and still not a scratch on it).

Hello to all as I'm new to this thread. Never thought I would spend this much on a mod, but with Christmas, hitting my 20 year anniversary of a heart attack, and my 18 month mark analog free all within a couple weeks, I deserved a splurge. So picked up the black Lavabox DNA200 with a black Smok TFV4 mini a couple days ago. All I can say is SHAZAAM!

Until now, I thought any variations in the quality of a vape rested solely with choice of atomizer, but I swear every tank I put on this has considerable uptick in quality. Now my Sig 100+, IPV Mini2, and IPV D2 are hard to grab. And here I thought this would merely be put into my rotation. Yeah, right! I'm also quite new to TC, so have a lot to learn and experimentation to do. I guess it is time to go back to the start of this thread and wade my way through it to learn all I can. In the mean time, I will stay up with new posts and even make an occasional comment or ask questions that may arise.

It really is a combination of the pre-heat, the punch and the non-pulse modulation. It makes a great vape. Yes, it is temperamental when it comes to an atomizer that changes resistance as it heats, or a poorly designed or implemented 510. There are also some issues to figure out with the hardware and I expect that the design will be tweaked. And then, there is Escribe which is really amazing, but a curse if you are not a techie. A pretty big step, with a few rough edges that will be worked on.
